I truly hope you have the most lovely holiday. I live a little vicariously through you and your videos the past couple of years. I had a bit of what you have before I lost my husband to cancer in 2021, and life has been very hard to lose someone so lovely and all our dreams along with him. Christmas is exceptionally confusing now as we celebrated and loved it together for 17 years. So I hope you enjoy every bit that you’re able with your lovely family, home, Thor and projects. it’s a life I see as very blessed. ❤

Great to see your beautiful self and engaging smile. I think of and pray for you daily, Eirin. I am familar with the mental health struggle. I have major depressive disorder, anxiety, and PTSD. I did not care to have a diagnosis because I felt that would be an unfair label, and people would just see me that way. In 2018, I received my diagnoses. I felt only relief to have them defined, and I could move forward. I like what you said about "different." What an apt and insightful thing to say. My favourite time was always Christmas then as an only child I lost mum and dad within 6 months, it's been 18 years since I celebrated and I just hide away. I have been to doctors and cried explaining I think I have mental health issues and am really struggling, all I got offered was a waiting list for talking therapy. I admire you so much for your go get it attitude and usually feel better when I've seen your videos ❤

In America you would be a tad early decorating! :-) Some people who use an artificial tree will decorate before our Thanksgiving but most homes will do the first week of Dec. 🎄

Eirin you've done a beautiful job decorating! 🤗 I pray you begin to feel better. 50k I.U. of vitamin D3 and magnesium glycinate have dramatically helped a loved one with SAD/Depression. It can be tapered down as your vitamin D3 levels improve. Dr. Berg on YT is a good source of information for this. Tea made from bay leaves and cinnamon has helped my sore throat and cough. Hi Eirin, I wanted share some thoughts with you. Our system is created to have a reason for everything... What if what is normal or seen as "normal" is an illness within it self and what is being underlined as "not normal" is not far off from what they should deem as "normal" (confusing right... thats how I see our day to day system). I am of the belief that we are our own best and worst critic. No one has ever walked a day in our life or shoes. Not even for those who have had similar experiences as yours because a chapter in your book can be recognized by a chapter in their book and yet the entire book can deem an entire different story. With that said, please don't allow anyones label be your definition of self. Our world has got so many things wrong and yet it seems to always have the answer and somehow we eventually seem to dig deep enough and find out ....all is not what it seems (you recently lived through a situation such as this that had others treat you as a threat). I see you as an individual who has lived through what I see as a truly impactful traumatic situations at a very young age and how can anyone label such impact or how you process life through a label. Is it truly theirs or the system to define? Opinions are just that and they can change by lens of the observer. For example someone who has lived or witnessed a similarity to your story could potentially see you in different lens vs someone who has not. I share this with you, so you can hold an open mind about your story, your experiences, and over all life. I am not saying not to seek answers or seek help. I am saying hold space for yourself and sometimes the answers are not outside of ourselves. In my eyes witnessing your stories and all you have had to endure, I see a brave and courages person who is trying to make best with life circumstances as best as possible. I as an observer can only imagine all you had to endure and for someone to say... oh, you have this "label"... is not holding compassion to the depth of your story. It's negating all you had to live through. This is my perspective and I am licensed therapist. Of course, I don't know you in person or more than what you share but, as a compassionate soul, what I am saying here is that you are an expert in your own story... don't hand anyone the pen to your life. You have the ultimate power to decide what is true or not true in your own story. With immense love... keep shining my beautiful soul sister!! I hope I am able to meet you in person one day. That was scary to write, but there’s an incredibly painful story behind that choice. I think we’re here to learn, and part of that are mistakes and lessons learned the hard way; with blessings and wisdom sprinkled generously in between, because I found something valuable in the rubble. (I know it is easier said than done) Nobody is perfect and for many the journey has not been a straight path it has been up and down... side to side... back and forth and zig zags and circles only to find themeless back exactly where they stood before they went through that chaotic adventure. With that comes a lot of Why's? anger... sadness... and much more....questions... blame. Please know I see you and hear you... I get your depth of perspective... I hope you know you are not alone... Sometimes we feel alone and the journey can be lonely but we are never forgotten we eventually find our path back to inner standing of all we are and all that is. I know its tough with everything you deal with health wise. Is it possible to see how your vitamin B levels? Did you know nutrients and if our body absorbs them well can also greatly affect out mental health state. It is all connected. Also, sometimes medication we take can deplete our body of such important nutrients. Another unfortunately situation is some people do not naturally absorb nutrients the way others can and we need supplement with other things so our body can better absorb nutrients we do vitally need. I am saying this because it can also be a contributing factor. I have heard many have great positive impact when they connected their mental health with their overall health. (holding space for you my friend....never forget that you are the expert in your story!!! I may not be a fan of labels, but I do love to empower others to see their greatest potential)- with love

@ Yes, so true 🥺❤️ My B’s are good ❤️👌 I get checked yearly as I’m plant-based and gut health is a passion of mine! I just saw a KZbinr make water kefir, and I think that could be possible for me to make 😃 I have had 20+ rounds of antibiotics throughout the last 23 years, and I believe this to be the main or contributing factor for my irritable stomach 😅 I am preparing myself to approach my lifestyle with a dietary shift. Plant-based does not equal healthy. Having struggled with using food to regulate emotions for 34 years, it’s also scary 🫣 Thank you again for sharing your experience and knowledge ❤️❤️

Hi Erin, I haven't been on your channel for ages because it was making me sad seeing you stuck in bed all the time. I am in a very similar position now, and I knew my mobility was getting worse, and 2024 has been mentally and physically draining. I got sepsis in January, and this caused my false knee replacement I had in February 2019 to become infected. I've been bed bound, too. In September, I had a revision surgery on my knee. The operation took four hours, and they said it was so badly infected that they weren't sure they could save my leg. I'm on two different types of antibiotics, and I've got to take them up to 12th December. I find walking very difficult indeed and I need a frame. I'm also struggling with chronic depression because of my situation and the menopause. I've felt suicidal since January. I'm on a high dose of anti depression tablets, and I have to have fibroids removed before I can go on HRT. I haven't walked independently for 10 years now. I've been deaf in my right ear since birth, and now I've only got 40 % hearing in my left ear. I can't hear anything without my hearing aid now. I also suffer tinnitus in that ear too, and that doesn't go away. I was born with mild celebral palsy, and life has always been a challenge, but as I age, it's getting harder. I'll be 56 in February. They think I might have bipolar too because one minute I'm happy, and then I just want to die. The Gp stays it's difficult to diagnose. I too I'm sending you lots of love from South Wales UK.
