Good interview with Kurt. I had found his channel in my early days of astrophotography :)

Hey Steve, thanks for having me on. I feel so honored being interviewed on the same platform as Joe & Glenn (HaHa). I had a great time getting to talk to you live. Cheers Kurt

Another great interview guys Kurt has helped me out with APT & NINA with his channel & that I'm truly grateful for, I also got an ED80 to image with quite a few years ago & I still have it & use it to this day great scope but crappy focuser lol. One day I'll get Pixinsight but my PC is so old I highly doubt it will run it.

Loving this series Steve, very interesting. Simple question but no doubt a difficult answer….. I want to take my first steps in to mono after a year or so with a 294 mc pro. I know you have the 294 mm and Kurt has the 2600mm but both expressed an interest in the 533 mm. Which of these do you think would be a good way to go? The pixel size of the 2600 and 533 being the same but with a considerable difference in resolution and cost.. primary use will be on a 840 mm Skywatcher Esprit 120 and a WO flt 91 at around 430 mm with occasional use on a Redcat 51. I worry about fomo, fear of missing out, if I don’t get the 2600 but I could get either of the others and a set of Antlia 4.5 nm filters for the same cost. Your opinion would be most welcome. Thanks from NZ.

Hey! Glad you lioe the series! Well as it turns out I have a 2600mm sitting in a box ready to be mounted. I honestly don't think you could go wrong with either the 533 or 2600, another alternative would be the 294mm which has the high resolution bin 1 mode. If you were strictly going for long fl imaging I would recommend the 533 as it's narrower fov essential gives you more fl. The 2600 is a beast of a camera but comes at a much higher price when factoring in filters. Also it's file sizes are much larger so longer subs would be in order. Which would compliment your red cat. Good luck and let me know what you decide!
