Say, if each profile type is assign to different wordpress role, when user profile is changed, does the assigned wordpress role get changed too automatically? Does this wordpress role change get updated in "Users" in wordpress dashboard? Thanks.

Hi. Do you have any forum or group where we can ask questions about the plugin? The question is - how can i prevent users from changing the type of profile that they chose initially during registration or that they have already changed 1 time? I explain why this is necessary. Let's say we have a job plugin. To view contacts in a resume, you need to have an employer profile type. And here such a nuance arises - that any user can safely change their current profile type to an employer and find out the personal contacts of users in a resume. I need to disable this if they already have a different profile type. To protect user privacy.

Hey BuddyBoss, thank you for your always quick replies as I've asked a few questions via youtube tutorials. Is it possible to link/affiliate different profile types together? For example, if I have a site that has "business" and "employee" as profile types, is it possible to have an option where the "employee" profile type can link/affiliate themselves to the "business" profile type that they are employed by? Hope that makes sense. In other words, if I am "John Smith" and work for "Company X" and I have a profile & my company also has a profile, can I select "Company X" as my employer so other members can see where I work? Please let me know if I need to be more clear.

There is currently no built-in feature for Appointment Booking system but there are various WordPress plugins that provide Appointment/Booking feature. Feel free to check it in WordPress repository. Please note that the plugins we have tested or provide a special integration with are listed here: www.buddyboss.com/integrations/ Other plugins should work fine but the theme will not have any built-in styling to make them look nice if they have a front end interface.

do you have a way in a plugin or in this plugin or can you add it where you can have multiple profile type selectors where you can name them or on one selector its done by admin only which would based on their membership, like basic or intermediate or pro, so you can seperate them by what membership then on a seperate selector we can allow them to select this one and allow multiple options at one time so for instance in a gaming website we could seperate them by the platform they play on playstation, pc , xbox, nintendo, strado, etc can pick one or multiple then when some one searches people they could search a pro member on pc or a basic member on playstation or any member on xbox or any member on playstation or pc and their is a profile type set up for both analogies which could be anything but we cant put them on the same list selector of types.. is there something you have already for doing that with this profile type plugin or can you make one..
@BuddybossWP3 жыл бұрын
Please be advised that the BuddyBoss Profile type and a Membership role are completely different. The platform's profile type feature cannot be connected to their membership and segregate the users' profile type based on what they purchased. We have not tested plugins of this purpose extensively to work with our theme and platform as well and this may requires custom work.

We also have added support recently for Wishlist Member. All of these plugins have their own pros and cons. Wishlist has an integration they built specifically for BuddyBoss. MemberPress and Paid Memberships Pro both have BuddyPress integrations which work as expected with BuddyBoss. These are all good general purpose membership plugins. -- I would only recommend WooCommerce Memberships if you have a reason you want to keep all shopping unified in WooCommerce. And I would only recommend Memberium if you are trying to integrate with InfusionSoft / Keap or ActiveCampaign (these are CRMs)
