I agree, 3-color is a much more satisfying scheme as it's easier to make out the cubes. Tony Fisher's video didn't seem to mention jumbling...but the puzzle does! This will make the solve very interesting! Maybe I'll pick one up as well!

Very cool. Always loved Escher. The curvy-copter plus is one of the coolest looking puzzles I have (and I can solve it jumbled!) --but this one may be even cooler. I'm ordering one now. Thanks for the helpful and well done review.

Hey community, I just started getting into cubing on a dare from my 10 year old daughter. Now the whole family can solve 3x3s no problem and I’m totally hooked. I can solve a 3x3 in just under a minute and I recently ordered the pyraminx, 2x2, and a mirror cube and have had very little issue solving them. I’m at a place where I’d like to take it to the next level but I’d like some suggestions. I’m not sure if I should go in the direction of the axis cube and ghost cube or in the direction of a 4x4 then a 5x5. Any suggestions on what my next cubes should be would be GREATLY appreciated. Thank you all

Oh man, you have so many options! 3x3 shape mods would probably be the most logical step; fisher cube, axis cube, mastermorphix, a picture cube / supercube, and then a ghost cube. You can always continue with wca puzzles, they're pretty inexpensive -- 4x4 through 7x7, skewb, megaminx, square 1 if you're feeling dangerous! As far as non wca shape mods go, curvy copter is an amazing little puzzle. The redi cube is a newer one, but it's easy and makes for a fun, quick solve. Then you have cuboids... Seriously, the cubing world is your oyster. You'll probably be in good shape if you purchase what you can afford and what looks fun. Good luck!

Seth Seng hey thanks for the reply man! Much appreciated. I think I’ll take your advice and go for the shape mods for now and work out from there. I looked up the beginners method a few weeks ago when we decided to figure out how to solve a cube and now I’m trying to learn F2L so I can solve it in less than a minute. Best time is 1:01 and it drives me insane lol. Outside of the first 3x3, I have decided to figure out how to solve the rest without a tutorial and After figuring out the mirror cube and the pyraminx, I am straight up hooked. Very glad to be a new member of the community. Thanks again

So how do the 3-color and 6-color solves compare? Any weird parity or anything? Maybe the 6-color is harder than the helicopter cube? I'm trying to decide whether or not the 6-color version is worth buying despite not being quite as pretty as the 6-color.

I think it might be a good idea to scramble and solve a 4x4 cube under these rules, 1) scramble like a 2x2, 2) do center switch like 3x3. Would you make a video about this idea? yes, i left the comment before. great video as always.

jeff23055032 interesting idea, 🤔 why not scramble like a 2x2 then scramble like a 3x3 then you need to solve only with 3x3 moves to reduce back to a 2x2 then solve the 2x2.

it might be difficult, cuz when i scramble a 4x4 like a 2x2, then do the center switch, and loop this process again and again, it's hard to reduce back to the 2x2. everytime i do the center switch, it mass up the corner i have already reduced. maybe i should think about the david's gear cube, they kinda similar to each other. one move can affect whole puzzle.
