Es la primera vez que veo este programa de Vascos por el Mundo, pero tengo que decir que me ha encantado. En el pasado he visto alguno de MAdrileños por el mundo, pero los entrevistadores son unos pueblerinos, que si les pones una hamburguesa hecha en Alabama, la admiran como si fuera el mejor caviar. Me ponian de los nervios, ya que en España es de los mejores países del mundo en general. El programa de españoles por el mundo, siempre salía gente bastante arrogante y el entrevistador siempre preguntaba: ¿y si te hubieras quedado en España habrías conseguido hacer lo que has hecho en este país? La respuesta siempre es: no, no, para nada. Tanta negatividad hacia España me produce dolor de estómago. Los vascos me han parecido gente de lo más sencilla y honesta. Realmente me ha encantado el programa.

En España tenemos una buena calidad de vida pero también es verdad que la mayoría de éxitos que ha conseguido esta gente en España no podría ser, sobre todo los investigadores, los artistas y algún que otro empresario

España, no es un mal país, eso no te lo discuto, pero tampoco es de los mejores, digamos que esta en la media de los paises del primer mundo, al menos según mi experiencia. Me gusta España, porque es donde naci y creci, pero su economía realmente nunca fue demasiado buena. También en ciencias, no se invierte mucho, es un gran país, pero no diría que esta entre los mejores. No soy arrogante, solo digo mi experiencia.

@4:15 This young lady trumpets the multiculturalism of London & Brixton in particular. Odd that coming from someone who comes from an area with the least cultural heterogeneity possible really. Yes, the Basque Country has immigrants from the rest of Spain but are they accepted as true Basques? And what is a TRUE Basque anyway. I have visited the region many times & what struck me was not once did I see a person of Asian or African heritage that I could discern. My point being: this multiculturalism this lady sees is good enough for London but would she be equally happy to see it replicated in the Basque region.

If you had been born in Bilbao the statistics would have been skewed to suit your agenda, no doubt. Anyway, the fact you present yourself in front of a flag betrays the primitive, unevolved nature of your thinking & anyone waving a flag of any national colour, of any national stripe & proclaiming from the rooftops the greatness of such & such a place JUST BECAUSE YOU HAPPENED TO HAVE BEEN BORN THERE is never gonna garner my respect for all the reasons above.

Are we really so unevolved that we take pride in an accident of birth? She coulda been born anywhere; & thus holding up another flag of any stripe. To take pride in an accident of birth is non-sensical & would be a joke if it weren’t for the seriousness of the issue.
