I'm not quite sure how to say this, but I love the version of Slør I bought over a year ago - obviously, not in English. I think Faroese is a beautiful language. Please, to whomever I must beg, don't stop producing music in Faroese! I don't speak a word of that language (well, that's not quite true anymore), but I've learned to sing a few songs. Actually, I'm doubly impressed by Eivør's ability to make these songs work so well in English, as well as her own tongue. It would just be sad to see the latter forfeited in an effort to deliver the former.

Eivør has released over 10 albums, (plus collaborations and features) most of them in English, she decide to go to the Islands and write Slør. 18 months later released and English version as well. She is a composer with Joh Lunn for THE LAST KINGDOM on BBC/Netflix and performed one piece in Faroese. I don't think Eivør will ever stop working her native language but she is not limited to that either. The next album will lily be in English again and written from the heart in that langue. The reason Slør works in English to the extent is done, is because typically of Eivør, she worked very hard to make it so, to not juts do a 'translation' album but to create something that 'works' in English but keep the essence of what she is saying. : See her Track by Track Slør live versions Harley Street sessions, how well they work ;) on KZbin. The powers to be is Eivør, she is very much in control and a creative person, so she will also looks to push the boundaries, and keep developing. The next album I'm confident will be another level again ;)
