@Nim Boo; For a Christian who claims to be godly, you sure do forget who it is that is supposed to be dictating who has kids/ judging people on the whole. Last I knew in your belief system only one is allowed to judge and only one dictates the path someone should go down(kids etc). Maybe her music IS the beautiful contribution she brings to the world, someone's music can be just as all encompassing in their life as a child. As for judging the LBGT community, the man who wrote the famed King James Bible was gay, and there are far more ways to sin, in the bible, when not LBGTQ. No I'm not gay/trans/a dragqueen, I just actually pay attention to religious texts before spreading hateful things that divide people on the whole. So unless you're god himself, and have never sinned, perhaps you should stop judging folks who are bullied enough. When faith makes you a more hateful/less tolerant, person, when it makes you spread hate, then you do an injustice to others of your faith and your god.
@geckolia38235 жыл бұрын
@Nim Boo her daughter is at least 13 now, if not 15+ and Eivør has been married for a long time ;) I'm actually a Christian and I understood the gospels message as love the sinner, hate the sin. My task is to love on LGBT, to accept them as they are. Just as God does also. The rest is up to God. I don't abide in certain doctrines which seem to want to erase the sex differenes but I can still love and accept people such as my sister. Its not God's fault so many people these days obsess about sex into extremes, one way or another. One is never not sexual even as a baby and it's not just a penetration of a penis into a vagina. All this weird doctrine on all sides , also stuff many Christians abide in boggles me. I've seen a lot suffering from not being in tune with one's body, cycle, feeling shameful of one's sexual lust even though it's given by God and a beautiful thing. Just one that one needs connecting to in a healthy manner. Oppressing it till the mid 30ies is never what God intended. Back then women, who btw could not own, not property, not sheep, etc- got married age 12, 14. To older, sometimes quite old men . We don't do that anymore, there would be an outcry. You have to read the bible with an understanding of its time. Then you see how accepting God is yet how he wants people to be safe and to prosper. Of course self control is important, but equally is passion. Truth. People didn't marry just for love nor for sex. Women had no contraception, etc . People married mainly for security and better living and reproduction also meant "retirement money". And yet a whole book is dedicated to lust, of, btw, an unmarried couple. That got interpreted in the weirdest ways, for of course here a "bible believing" Christian could not take it literally because it was in contradiction with his concept of sex and marriage. Maybe instead of judging others let's have our hearts and minds in a state of meekness, allowing for the bible to teach us the complexities of life. God be with you, may he be with us all.

There are many bands that make great sounds in a studio. But take them out of that sterile environment into the light of a live performance, they fail miserably. Not so for Eivor. She thrives in front of an audience. I bought tickets for my entire family to see her perform in San Francisco in the fall of 2022. The same event was rescheduled after being canceled in January due to rising covid numbers in the area. I hope we get to see her this time.
