Eric's instruction said to twist at the waist. Other instructors say to swivel at the hips and to extend/press the leg for power. Do the hips stay nuetral or should they swivel?

Great show. Been paddling for years but never thought about it much. When going straight it seems if my head is down I track straight. When I look up it's less so? Do you paddle on the tip of the butt or curl and slouch. Tip seems great for posture but squirrelly. Lower paddle angles seems to reduce shoulder strain? How about some suggestions for protecting the shoulder, back, head(during rolls). Any other safety items. I just noticed my spray skirt doesn't have a panic ball or loop. How are you supposed to get out? It's a new used one and been in flatwater for a while.

@@serkankonya1 paddle box? Is that keeping the paddle motion in an imaginary box? Lately I've been trying to keep my shoulder back and not rounded forward. I've had repeats dislocation and surgery so there's a tendency to hunch forward to protect it and reduced range of motion. Never heard of the box, just put it where it seemed right.

it takes a time, to realize the movement out of the core, to keep the boat flat, getting the shoulders in 45 degrees, leaving the hip and knees relaxed! The point, that every stroke should be done by pressing the feet is the most underestimated fact, rarely teached!!!
