I met him at a tournament in 2023 while he was cruising towards player of the year. He took probably 15 or 20 minutes to chat with me and maybe half a dozen other local league bowlers. Super down to earth, very likable guy.

@@HuMaNauT93 He showed up at our league earlier this year. He was having a good time chatting it up with several people and was absolutely lit. I heard they had already started serving him water before I noticed him. We were way down at the opposite end of the house from the bar.

The camera man is photobombing you two in the background with his face! Funny! Thanks EJ, for the insight. I really enjoyed hearing about the continuous curve vs hockey stick motion, as I love continuous balls.

How do you adjust for and deal with string pins?

Don't play on them

Find a new center with free fall pins is probably your best bet.

Cut the strings off.

Sadly our local one and only lanes are going to string pins. The owner can’t get parts for machines and new setters are not being manufactured. Even if the were, it would cost a million to put them in.

Wish EJ was asked, “what are the things you see or pick up on in your gathering of information”. What about your ball motion are you watching for, picking up on, making note of”

That's why I love my Black Venom so much. It is a great benchmark ball. The only problem is it's such a good ball that I rarely need to switch for the games. Also I'm a lefty. Sorry not sorry.

EJ treats bowling like golf course management like Belmo. No wonder both are successful.

Time to invest in a Venom Shock i suppose
@GuisngvajnАй бұрын
A ball doesn’t make you a good bowler. Ej uses the venom shock because he is motiv. Just like Belmo uses the phaze 2 because he is storm, the venom shock is a good ball but the best thing to do is talk to your pso about things th at you do good and things you might have a hard time with to find that perfect piece of equipment that fits your needs. A big mistake a lot of bowlers make is buying a ball just because everyone else has it. If the ball matches up with you go for it, but don’t just buy it because of others

As a fan, totally agree however I do believe he tried with Ronnie Russel and it didn't work out well. And now he not only owns a proshop but an entire center. Had a few minutes with him at a clinic just before Tripp was born. He made you feel like he knew you. Great conversation.
