this right here, takes me back to the sound factory bar, Tuesday nights, lil louie vega, cyphers, then basically going straight to work off the LIRR still trippin. RIP Margery. I saw most of these dancers back then, and quietly learned how to release what i was holding back. a gift that has kept on giving. house is truly a unity love vibe.

We all know and recognize that none Ejoe, Brian ,Caleaf and Terry had created housedance but the fact is that whoever housedancer you meet nowadays has on his steps the taste , feeling or whatever you call it coming from these guys. the most amazing thing is that most of time they are not aware of that.

Wasn't a documentary, it was a part of a " kind of instructional" japanese video that I agreed to put together back then in order just to get some people from the scene of dance paid and shown. It was just for the love. GOD BLESS US ALL, Brian

@NYCfactor appreciated and thankful to the CREATOR for all GIFTS....though I'm RETIRED now and ONLY teach ONLINE DANCE CLASSES for about 5 years (theybarelyunderstandhello.com), I am definitely a fan of ejoe and Shan s in the House dance genre. The 3 of us have let those dancefloors HAVE IT for many years!! Especially around early to mid 90s, then we went our own ways in dance careers. But those two are VERY GIFTED in more than DANCE.

@@MikeBTek I'm sure there will be more and more videos people will put up of great dancers, but NOT SO MUCH ME, because I was DEFINITELY THE DANCE POLICE in my career and didn't ALLOW so much filming without payment LOLOL....AND OH DID THE SYSTEM/IinDUSTry hate me for that one..... But, people just letting themselves be filmed with no "self-worth" has been the norm in dance for almost 20 years now, reasons why DANCE STANDARDS ARE VERY LOW.....reason why i RETIRED EARLY.....and REASON WHY ARTISTS ARE EASILY REPLACED BECAUSE OF NO STANDARDS.... ....I TYPE IN BOLD TO GET A POINT ACROSS, not because of any "sensitivity/emotion" as I've seen this "lowing of standards" agenda since the 70s..... ..... BUT NEVER thought the system could actually do it to this level until I saw the internet coming in in the 80s. WHEN i knew the system could get everyone hooked on it. When the system got the world hooked on being a "visual star" by paying for LIKES/VIEWS in the millenium years, I said, "yep, THEY got the world now"...lolol....and THEY do.... ....yep, I did type that "internet started in the 80s", and most didn't even know that). This really reminds me of an older dance documentary called "When The Spirit Moves: A history of Black Social Dance on Film". Mostly performed by some of the New York dance groups covering swing to disco and showing many of the same moves seen here. The Mambo AppleJack Challenge is a good excerpt from this documentary as well and can be seen on youtube (alina sokulska).

Well, everyone, to make it clear, I agreed to make this video with a Japanese company to bring light to street dance styles No specific names of steps are on the video, because I was in the process of TRYING to bring dance styles together to do a major thing. so this video was made as a backdrop/introduction into the DANCE STYLES. It wasn't made for teaching a full dance history on the styles or for teaching a full year dance class on any style. Though I wrote (with help from the consultation of the boys/boogie boys on here: doc and adespla mostly, and when I could catch up to bam and speedy.....even though I loved through the boogie boy era, it's ALWAYS good to check in), and narrates, as well as danced/light choreography; it's just a backdrop/introduction video. It's unfortunately MANY in the CULTURES didn't see it as a "introduction" video and ran to take an idea I had to name the steps, and so messed up the major plan I had for the DANCE CULTURES, but enjoy the video for what it is. LOVE: The HUMAN DNA

Definition(s) of the word "Prophet": 1 - The chief spokesperson of a movement or cause. 2 - A person gifted with profound moral insight and exceptional powers of expression. Now I don't know about the moral part, but dancers like us are ESSENTIAL to the scene. We're not wallflowers, we DARE to let house take us to places that inspires more creativity in artists and DJ's. Without the Ejoes, BGs, and Caleafs, the scene would die. Respect - see y'all on the floor!

I decided to name it house prophets because this is what These 2 dancers inspire me. I consider that They really are house prophets according to me . If you desagree it's your opinion. For me it was a way to pay a tribute to these 2 men who are among the best ever. And i thank god for got them gifted and share this knowlegde with us. Peace

Lolol...you should've seen 1990 skills, crazier.... and we didn't know each other, but 86-88, was (for me) smooth skills and using space, mixing that FREESTYLE/WEBO/SKATE.... ACTUALLY liked that dancing better than this mid 90s era becuz fewer could do it....even now when I teach that dancing, students say, "too difficult" lololol

Definitely, especially at that time, cuz we three were seriously doing circles serious damage at that time! Lolol.... whenever we met in the club, it was fire.....but this video was made for me and I opened it up to bring others in to get paid, and just built a narrative off of a point in time when EJOE was actually robbed of a popular DANCE contest and went battle crazy!! Lolol. ... battling friends and anyone... So he went after me on a video set one day and I didn't even want to battle cuz I saw he wasn't in the "right mindstate", so I CREATED this vid as a love to that memory. Cuz even though I didn't want to do it, if someone had a camera for those 5 rounds, it was much hotter than this and on concrete!! LOLOLOL... different style clash. He was very serious, I was not cuz he's a club friend, but he's not the first I saw "lose it" from a poor decision in a contest....then take a minutes or years to get the mind back in order. But hands down, he's one of the greatest to ever do it as I remember him from the late 80s in a club I visited once and a while called RED ZONE (WE didn't know each other then, but I ALREADY knew Marjory, his friend), and by 1990, he was no joke, then by 93, it was RIDICULOUS!!

Hey everyone who likes this video, KZbin algorithm gave me a more complete and higher definition version of it called "N Y Street Dance 02 Battle and Peace." I still like this version though because it carries the age with it. Brian and Ejoe dancing and the song are just great. Still anyone know the name of the song, please?

It was a song remixed for this video, it's not one you can buy. But the producer was FANTASY (also a DJ). I pretty much brought everyone in for this project from dancers to producers. l'll probably be answering old comments now all over the internet, as I'm retired from dance since DECEMBER 2019, because the dance world has gotten larger but changed alot for the worse (but that's only 25% of the reason for retirement.....the other 75% is to take care of a disabled family member; the one that started me into dance as a profession since 7 years old). SO, I'm BLESSED to be at home, be able to make money from home, and unlike most great dancers, AND ANSWER/REPLY TO COMMENTS, so people can learn things, hopefully practice, and grow. LOVE: THE HUMAN "doing/productive" DNA

it's not a documentary, it was actually a video instructional that a japanese producer wanted to me about me, but i narrated it, wrote, and made it for everyone y'all see. i don't really want to promote it because the legalities weren't good, but everyone got paid equally lololol.....meaning i split my pay evenly, so i got jerked pretty heavy (again, writing, narrating, and wrote...and danced....that's 4 positions and i took the pay for one). so i don't suggest supporting the vid as the contract was weak, we were young, and i was more interested in getting gifted dancers pay and exposure to use for a further career and didn't feel like getting a big lawyer involved, and just saw where the person's heart was (or wasn't). and this vid is good for millenials, but this is not the vid that made us famous in japan.....that video that made us famous was ZOO video-docu called "PARTY"
