How To Make Animated Lower Thirds For Free! With Shotcut Video Editor Tutorial
In today's video, I am going to be showing you How to make Lower Thirds for FREE and how you can take it a step up and animate your Lower Thirds on your video editing program! In this tutorial, we are going to be using photopea which is a free photo editing website that you can go to. I will also be teaching you how you can animate this Lower Third by using your video editing program. Today I am going to be using the Shotcut Video Editor as an example, but the process is pretty much the same for any other video editing program. Having Lower Thirds can really help your video either by having more interaction with the audience and it can remind them to either participate in a call to action, either being to subscribe, like, or follow you in any other platform. These annotations are known by many names such as Lowers Thirds. moving annotations, pop-ups, or like overlays. They are VERY easy to make, so I hope you can learn to make them and use them in your videos.

Nice video, not stretched out. I just want to point out that the mask filter can be switched to the crop:rectangle filter, using fully transparent color as padding color. IMO it is easier that way.

Nice video but there are two things you should know. First is that you can change the size of the tracks by either right clicking on the timeline but not right clicking on a clip and choosing "make tracks shorter" or "make tracks taller". You can also press ctrl and either - or =. Or even shift and the scroll wheel on your mouse. This way if you are working with a lot of tracks you get to see more tracks at the same time without having to scroll up and down. The second thing is how you exported the video. You used the quicktime animation in the alpha category. That alpha category is to export videos with a transparent background baked in. That means you don't have to add a green screen and use the chroma key filters. So you should've not added a green screen. You could've left it as is because after using one of the presets in the alpha category the video can just be used without added effects and whatever background you want it to be on top of will show up on its own.

Used after effects for my custome intro and the rest of them too, but I know that there are free templates you can use for some of these graphics.

I would probably choose a location in the video where nothing much is going on so that the audience doesn't get distracted, or add it when you are giving a call to action.

Really wish dude would stopped calling the Play Head a cursor. I was so confused. Following everything he says from 10:39 and that bar will not move correctly it either continues to just pop in or moves from the OPPOSITE side.
