Ek Nayee Zindagi - 9th May 2023

Hello everyone! This month, at CBN India we are discussing a rather difficult topic - Rejection. We don’t mean just being ignored or overlooked, but truly being rejected - being told outright that you’re not good enough, not wanted, not loved. It is one of the most painful experiences to go through. And yet, it’s something we’ve all experienced at some point in our lives.
Maybe it happened to you as a child, when you stammered, or when you were teased over your tiffin box in school. Or perhaps it happened to you as a teenager when you were singled out and weren’t invited to a class party. Or even as an adult, when you got a seat at the conference table but not a voice on the team. Or as a parent, when your child told you they were embarrassed by you. Whatever the situation, rejection can leave us scarred.
Even though we know we are made in God’s image, we struggle because we are wired to want to belong and be accepted as part of the community. And often we forget where our true acceptance lies - in God’s unconditional love. 1 Peter 2:4 tells us ‘As you come to him, a living stone rejected by men but in the sight of God chosen and precious.’
This May, we have real life stories that will remind you that while rejection hurts as much as a migraine or an injury, it doesn’t define us.
