Ekdev is swar samrat of modern times - musical icon after Narayan Gopal. He has magical flexibility in his voice that can absorb the bump in lyrics - hence, the listener just gets to hear melody. If anyone else would be singing these songs, they would not sound as smooth and as melodious as this- they would hear lots of uneven bumps, good example would be "Chyanti Mayalu" . It is just a matter of time before Nepal realizes Ekdev is a rare gem and he will be cherished a lot more.
