8:20 the orientation of molecules does NOT change "when light comes in". Also 8:03, the molecules of LC used in displays are NOT randomly oriented. Displays use "nematic" phase liquid crystals where the molecules are mutually aligned and regularly oriented. 😢 teaching wrong info with nice animation is such a crime.
