TO DIVORCE OR NOT TO DIVORCE: 1 Corinthians

DOCTRINE. Marriage is a covenant between one man and one women wherein God unites the two together, making them a picture of Christ and the Church. Therefore they should not divorce, but if they do they must remain unmarried or be reconciled.

So Ahab. was not permissible to divorce Jezebel? Or Samson and Delilah? Or Ezra, was in error when directing a mass divorce? Or Nehemiah was to harsh with dealing with people marrying unbelievers.. There's a big difference between two believer's and one believer and one unbeliever regarding marriage. I hope you meditate on the original word "willing" in 1 corinthians 7:13... Love your preaching btw, I just think our view on Divorce has been influenced by the Roman Catholics to much.
