My favorite interpretation is this: Ekko fully believed that Powder was gone and that he had to kill Jinx. But he also knew how dangerous Jinx was. So he offers to play their childhood game with her one more time, trying to draw on her nostalgia. Thing is, he knows exactly how she will act in this scenario, and so he can put himself one step ahead of her. It's the perfect plan to be able to fully predict what has, until now, been a completely unpredictable character. It's the perfect plan, with one fatal flaw: In order to convince her to go back to that place with him, Ekko needs her to see him as Little Man. And to do that, he needs to see her as Powder. It's the only way to immerse her deeply enough into it that he can predict her moves. And it works; but the downside comes at the end. Now that he has brought himself back, he sees her as Powder again and can't finish the fight. It was his ace-in-the-hole, and his fatal flaw. The same plan that guaranteed he could win the fight also guaranteed he could not ultimately defeat her. Which is so poetic.

A detail I like about Silco's meeting is that he proves his point on a metaphorical level as well as practical. All of the people in power forgot how the air in the mines are like and struggle to survive "in the thick of it" while he wanders on because he is used to it. He isn't in power because of goons, he is in power because he is hands on and actually walk those streets and breath that air on the regular.

It’s sad because Ekko and Powder would definitely been a thing. The deleted scenes in the Enemy music video shows how close they were as kids. If it wasn’t for all the trauma., and bad timing. Every time we almost get Powder back,some ass interrupts & destroys any chance of happening. F Jinx is is a sad story. I think she would take a loss as more of a release than anything else. She would wanna have the pain end. So any future fights with Jinx will be almost a pleading for someone to kill her. 😢

This episode made me cry for literal hours. Jinx and Ekko's fight was and always will be a masterpiece. No amount of preparation could've held me down in that moment. I love you guys' reaction. Ekko is top character in Arcane, and he barely has screentime. Ekko was so convinced Powder is gone, he was prepared to kill Jinx, but then, he saw that Powder really was still there. And in that one moment, he hesitated.... RIP Ekko.

Ekko is my fav character & his fight with Jinx's was just top tier! I always love seeing people react to this one. Don't know if you noticed, but Ekko's mask was taken from the shop he worked at as a kid. You can see it in the background on the shelf. It was such a cool touch.

The show doesn't really explain it in detail but Ekko has the ability to rewind time by a few seconds using his magical stopwatch - what the animation shows here is him using that power to adjust his movements to beat jinx after jinx shot him once in the chest just like she did as a kid with the paintballs

its not, ekko does not have this power yet, it was only an easter egg of his power, but all this scene was only a "memory" of the past, of they fighting

It's just a reference to the game at this point, he hasn't got that technology yet. He's remembering how they played as kids and learning from it.
