Oh dear, it is a great idea to add pastry cream between the cream and the kadayıf. Here in Turkey, we usually eat it with just kaymak(kind of a cream) without any toppings. I will definitely try those toppings. Also, if you eat those kind of syrupy desserts with ayran( a drink made with yoghurt, water and salt-I think in Greece you are familiar with this drink), the dessert will not taste that heavy. Just a suggestion.

@@marianneabounegm5826 I would post the link for you but it will get taken down. Search "My Baking Saga" ekmek kataifi recipe and you should be able to follow the same recipe I make for my husband. He says it's exactly like his mothers. I just suggest you add the syrup in batches until it gets absorbed to avoid making soup. Hope this helps.

As I Searched the ingrefients, I found that, I will Need to Order and Purchase the Shredded Phylo Dough on Amazon, , because, Unfortunetly, I can not find it in any stores, here in America?! 😥 But, I Will get it, one way or another!
