I still have my Ranger 6. My first decent guitar was a Ranger 12 but it succumbed to a fall and the headstock snapped off. I was heartbroken. I loved that guitar.

I like the zero fret idea and also the adjustable bridge. I have a 12 string Ranger that was purchased in the early 1970's. The wood has separated inside the guitar where the neck bolts on. I'm hopeing to be able to reglue it when I get some time. I'm also considering a new 6 string Ranger. These guitars were built solid.

I recently bought one of the original Eko Electra's - just as heavy and resonant as I remember my 1st Eko 12 back in the late 60's (the Electra weighs in at 7.25lbs). There's some significant fret wear on the 1st - 3rd frets but it still plays very well. I always downtune a whole tone.

Much more affordable than a Collings , it would give all that I want or need at my level ,and , grow with. i must have one.that is all there is to it.

@@benw-king3380 excuse me? Those are rather harsh words to a simple comment that has been expressed on more than one occasion relating to 12 string guitars. Why do you think there are so few without the built-in tuner and in most cases those that are anot equipped are usually on the realm of budget guitars. Guitar companies install them because that's what sells guitars. It has nothing to do with maturity but based on your sophomoric reply I think we know where you fall in. And btw, I hate the look of clip-on tuners. They look cheap, ugly and are distracting. And btw is your life so lacking that you feel the need to reply to year old comments?
