Thanks! I have been searching for days really weeks. And this is the absolute best app to learn German. I love the way they pause say it in German then say it in English and then repeat it in German slowly in annunciate the words. And because it hours long it repeats sections of it which is incredibly helpful. Plus I have a whole section of Repeating very common phrases for example, “ I am …“. “I am ….” “I am…” you learn about the how to say I am Hungry, tired, cold, happy, sad, hopefully you get the picture. it is so so good‼️ I just have it played in the background during the day while I’m working in the house. It’s just the best. 👍🏼

Most of these videos could take it next level by doing a literal translation. They could also color code the English to German translation so you can get word-by-word idea of the sentence structure. For instance: They don't say "sorry" in German. Instead, they say "Es tut mir leid" which literally means "It hurts me so". Also, the verbs in German most often come at the end of the sentence.

I think it sounds fast because if German is your first language and you've grown up hearing it everyday, it just naturally flows out of you without thinking. Like English just flows out of me without thinking, but as German isn't my first language it's more of a focus. I know I'm not learning a language well when I'm focusing on the words too much. Once it flows out of me without really thinking then I know I've got it. Still a way to go though but with perseverance you can learn anything.
