Would takeing off the leather piece on the elastic strap damage the band?

I see where you're going with that. I don't really see how you'd be able to do that well. I wouldn't count on that as a solution.

I saw another review putting additional cards under the strap and cash on the inside of the slots. He had it after a year and was broke in and was closing flat. BTW what is your daily driver?

@scmfstewart at the time I was using the andar ranger but I've been using the Popov wallet since that video

I cut the elastic off with a really sharp knife the first day that I got this. No problems that I can tell so far.
