To everyone who only associates this song and band with Hungary.... Zoli is a gypsy. His family has faced persecution for many years and he identifies with the Jewish population. He's a good guy. I toured with him last year and even though a lot of people never heard Ektomorf before those shows they all went crazy and walked away as Ektomorf fans. Don't read so far into it.

Sint*izze and Rom*nya were also one of the target groups of the Nazis for mass murder. What is called "Shoah" is also called "Porrajmos", meaning as much as "the devouring". So, Zoltán not only identifies with Jewish victims, next to political ones, homosexuals or those mentally or physically impaired, he belongs to a target group himself, even of racism still today. What's giving hope is not only the victory of life over death, even in those darkest hours Sint*izze and Rom*nya were not recipients of hatred. When they were chosen for ececution during the last days of Auschwitz they revolted against their oppressors for several days.

First of all how many elements are there to judge a track by apart from just literally the lyrical theme? Vocal flow, melody, tone. Guitar rhythm, tone melody. The music itself is fresh and done well for this style where there isn't too much variation, but it isn't literally the same thing throughout. The riffs are tasteful and 100% guaranteed with loads of groove.

Ektomorf ist einer meiner Lieblings Groove Metal Bands. Ich empfand die Musik immer als sehr authentisch, man spürte diesen tiefen inneren Hass gegenüber ungarischen Rassisten und im allgemeinen die Ablehnung von Sinti und Roma. Ausgrenzung, Ghettorisierung. Allerdings weis ich nicht warum sie sich bei "Holocaust" auf so ein altes, wehleidiges Thema stürzen. Ist es vlt. doch nur Masche/Marketing? Die Deutschen haben seit 3 Generationen nichts mehr mit dem dritten Reich zutun. Ich empfinde das als bashing, Ektomorf haben immer super Shows in Deutschland (summerbreeze '15) und eine eingesessene Fangemeinde, die mehr auf Frieden als auf eine gestrige Hetzjagt aus ist.
