"El Bimbo" was one of the first really big disco hits in the US in 1974 done by Bimbo Jet of France. Back then, there was no US release until after the record hit...we were playing it on RTR tape!

I first knew this as a dance, instrumental music. Then I read the Kite Runner. Somehow, your comment explained why it reached my country, Philippines. So, from Afghanistan, a country whose elite speaks French, to France, to US and eventually Philippines.
