El is so beautiful, spiritually and physically. I like the fact that he is so down to earth. You heard how he corrected young blood when he said 50cents. El said "no it's fiddy, don't get it twissed"🤣😃 I love it.

Nothing but Mad Love & Admiration for El and his family. Yes people can get better and relapse, but falling down only gives you the chance to try once more. It's 2014 and you're still on point, keep your head up and May God continue his blessings on your behalf.

Some people said he had a relapse and wwnt into treatment but out of his mouth, he said he felt the crave come back strongly like he could taste it in his mouth and called 50 cents who took him to Face's house and they got him into treatment. So idk if the relapse actually took place. Maybe a mental relapse which can be just as strong bcuz most of what we do starts in the mind.
@nieshamccoy94197 жыл бұрын
Michelle Summer It was more mental because he was starting to exhibit the same behavior that he displayed before he went to prison. He said he felt like he was about to do something wrong and he just wanted to deal with it before it got out of control.

Thank you for sharing this video. It was a pleasure to get close up a personal with the one and only MR. EL DEBARGE.
@nieshamccoy94197 жыл бұрын
The last 2.5 minutes of this interview was deep. He said he didn't talk much in prison. He must have been doing some talking and finding out about the other inmates stories because this was deep.

His brothers and Bunny were feeling left out when Motown started focusing more on El because of his work ethic. It caused so much animosity between them that they ended up saying forget it. However, according to their mother, Motown didn't realize that they weren't just break up a group, they were trying to break up a family.

He don't want to throw his siblings under the bus. I don't blame him. I would not either. The fact is they were all disabled from drugs. He had not begun drug use yet and was the only reliable DeBarge.
@nieshamccoy94197 жыл бұрын
Pat P I read too that Mama D said that Motown didn't realize they weren't breaking up just another group. They were breaking up a family and that break up caused alot of jealousy. That's why the rest except El and Chico stayed out of the music business. Mama D also said that if she knew that all this trouble was going to happen, she wouldn't have let them get in the music business. Drugs started with his brother Bobby and then, drama with the rest of the family. El was the one who stayed away from it the longest but according to El, he got tired of being the one responsible and the one to carry all the weight and used drugs as a cop-out.

@rarabarak Yess he is back in rehab but I don't think she had anything to do with it!! El has battled with drugs for over two decades and well like they say an old habit is hard to break!! I'm just glad he sort help at the beginning instead of waiting until it got out of control!! Wishing him the best!!

Why on earth would you be curious about drugs? He has major problems
@nieshamccoy94197 жыл бұрын
Leslie Boozer El said that he started with crack because he got tired of being the strong one. Tired of being responsible and then he got egotistical thinking he could try it once and put it down and then checked out. Trust me, he regrets doing it.
@nieshamccoy94197 жыл бұрын
Shannon Cunningham El said that he got egostical. He thought he could try it once and put it down. He was experimenting. Second, he was on drugs because he simply got tired of being the strong one.

Life is full of strongholds, bad things, that any one of us can become curious about. What's more important than El's past is the work that God is doing in his life Now. His life is a testimony that shows the love that God has for ALL of us and that it is NEVER too late to start again.
