I was in a float tube before the kayak but I was already in love with kayak fishing before I ever even was in one. I watched Greg Blanchards videos just hoping to get a yak at some point. I had brought up wanting a yak to my wife before Christmas in 2021 and what all I’d like for it to have so I could compete. She ended up surprising me with it for Christmas. The passport was the most feasible (price wise). I just wanted to make sure I had a pedal drive. At $1,000 it’s hard to beat for a pedal yak. Although now there are a lot of options between 1k-2k. If I could give any advice to someone wanting to get into a kayak, I’d say to look at something you think you could afford, and then just save money beyond that price to get whatever the next best model is. I’m in a PA12 now it’s crazy the difference between the two. The worst thing you could do is have buyers remorse with 1k-4k boat. Thanks for going squad bro 💪🏽
