I've been following this guy for a while and honestly - this is far from his best! He can do this one handed whilst drinking a drink (plenty of his videos do just that!) he is insanely good, practices every day for years. He did briefly play in the rock group saratoga but left recently - i think he prefers doing youtube vids. Best drummer I have every seen, period.

The drummer has the rest of the band fed through inears (it's really hard/impossible to to hear them when you're on the kit) so they know where they are, and probably a click track that everyone in the band is playing to. Programs from laptops even give lead ins by counting down to different segments of the song. So the drummer would hear "change comes in one measure...1 & 2 & 3 & 4 & change." All other band members are hearing their version of this at the same time. Now, my man El Estepario Siberiano... he's just listening to the song and slaying that MFR.

Drummers usually listen to the other band members through their monitors, but honestly Lucas Mann of Rings of Saturn put it better than anyone I’ve ever heard: essentially he has whatever he needs to be playing in those monitors in order to play the song the way it needs to be played. Lucas even said like if he needed happy birthday being played in his inears, that’s what he’d be listening to if it provided what he needed to play the song all the way through in time with everyone else. As far as his back story, he actually has a video on his KZbin channel about how and why he is this good!

Some drummers listen to a click track (metronome). Some use customised click. Some use the song. Some just play without headphones. I use all four depending on the song.

El Estepario is self-taught on drums, no teachers, expensive schools or the like. Many people ask how he learned, well now you know how, it's not something you're born with or that you get at the end of the day. It's about self-discipline and hard, dedicated training every day. For those who give everything to 200% can count themselves among the best as El Estepario Siberiano. El estepario started young at I think I saw a video from the age of 15 or 18, something like that. for those who don't really know He`s out of band, but looking . Siberiano is one of a kind bad ass monster drum killer.
