No veo la hora de leer el libro (Fiona York) Felicitaciones a ambos por esta labor juntos, que la abundancia del laburo que hicieron se derrame sobre ustedes. Esto demuestra que cuando la gente se une puede lograr cosas más grandes que las acciones solitarias.

Bayona, es con actores uruguayos. Bayona es muy versátil, dirigió ‘LO IMPOSIBLE’ en el 2012, ‘EL ORFANATO’ en el 2007, ‘UN MONSTRUO VIENE A VERME’ del 2016, ‘JURASIK WORLD-REINO CAIDO’ del 2017.Todas películas de género diferentes y muy buenas. *El libro de John Guiver traducido por Guillermo Scott tengo que comprarlo en Buscalibre yaa, pues será un buen complemento.*

One of the words that the writers of both "Alive" and "Society of the Snow" have difficulty with is "arriero." Don Sergio Catalán was an arriero, who herded cows. I see various words applied to him such as muleteer (which he was not), and so on. In this case, it might be better to use the original term in Spanish, and add a note to explain it. In Mexico, an arriero is usually a muleteer, so that accounts for some of the confusion.

I don't know if all the names of those who died are in print in other works, but both "Alive" and "Society of the Snow" do give the names of many of those who died.

Si no especificaron de que hablaban mencionan a un Alejandro Feradas creo así se escribe que el piloto había fallecido y nadie ha escrito sobre ello

Hola qué tal? Te cuento que hace poco adquirí el libro y pude informarme del accidente que se menciona. El hermano de ferradas protagonizó un accidente en el departamento de Artigas, Uruguay en 1978 (si mal no recuerdo). El nivel de investigación que tuvo John Guiver es excelente.

One of the problems with "Alive," by Piers Paul Read, is that he conducted his interviews through an interpreter. There are obvious translation errors in the book. Some of these are due to "false friends,"" words which have the same root in Latin, but do not mean the same thing in English as they do in Spanish. There are also errors in fact, such as when he describes Don Sergio Catalán as having a round face. Anyone who cares to look at photographs of Don Sergio, with his hat pushed back, can see that he has an oval face with high cheekbones. Piers Paul Read also does not understand the expression in Don Sergio's eyes. Perhaps most importantly, Piers Paul Read lacks an understanding of Uruguayan culture. This was stated in an on-lne interview by one of the survivors. He said that P. P. Read did not understand "gauchada criollo." He did not understand the cultural value of helping others. For these reasons, I would be careful about using the materials from the interviews as they were interpreted into English. It would be better to use the Spanish language originals, and if necessary, have them transcribed in Spanish, and then translated into English, by a professional translator, perhaps someone certified by the American Translators Association. Argentina also has certified translators.

Tiene que ser traducido por un uruguayo, si no las diferencias de palabras con otros que no son Uruguayos no se entiende ..
