El Manicero - The Peanut Vendor

Composed by Moisés Simons and first recorded in 1930 this is one of the best well known songs from Cuba. The lyrics and melody style are based on street vendors' cries, a "pregón". If you want to have some fun, buy a peanut cone (cucuruchito de maní).
This is an arrangement by Juan Carlos Arenas. The song intends to take you into the old Havana of the 40s and 50s. Our version also wants to take you from minor to major keys and viceversa. A journey in space, time and tonality
