This week I visit El Nido and return to Tapik Beach in Sibaltan. Two different worlds if you ask me ;) Though the surroundings of El Nido are very beautiful (like small and big lagoon as I’ve shown in my last video) there is also a lot of tourists. If you want the best of both worlds: stay in Sibaltan (Tapik beach has my heart, but there are more places here) and go island hopping in El Nido during the day. That’d be my choice ;)

We arrive in El Nido late in the evening. And honestly, the town is even more busy than I remembered! It’s not grown in 2 years, it’s exploded. They even got an ATM nowadays! New hotels and restaurants are opening every week, literally. And still it might be worth it to book a room long before your trip. Especially in high season. As I said, it is busy here…
The canopy walk provides some of the best views on El Nido town. It get’s me in the mood for more adventure. Now let me ask you, can you visit the Philippines without a proper Zipline Experience?! It’s time for Las Cabanas.
Alright, I understand why there are so many ziplines in the Philippines. It’s great to fly like an eagle, with some amazing views at the same time!
It’s best to be combined with some beach time afterwards.
And then we’re up for the main reason to visit El Nido! Island hopping. Since I’ve seen small and big lagoon and the popular tour C can’t take place because of the weather, I am going for tour B. Known for it’s caves and coves.
There are always multiple boats going on the same tour you are. But if you’re lucky and your boat just waits to leave, you can experience the island like it’s all yours.
And we’re on our way again. Off to Cathedral cave and Pinasil island.
Pinasil island is one of the most beautiful, but also one of the most cosy islands on this tour.
Well the highlight of this place is hidden behind a small hole. Just a whole different world from the white sand and blue seas…
One of our last stops is the famous snake island. Which got it’s name for an obvious reason
YES! I am so excited for getting back to Tapik Beach! That little hidden gem we enjoyed so much last time we visited. It’s so relaxed in here.
Well they did develop the place in the past 2 years. More rooms have been build and there is a whole extra space for entertainment. And the biggest improvement: it’s much more easy to go to El Nido nowadays! Which makes it possible to go island hopping during the day, and enjoy your evenings here.
Also the neighbors have been growing along. But it’s still within it’s limits. All in all it’s very peaceful and quiet. Also in the village!
Since Randy is not managing Tapik anymore, Merichelle, the little girl I met, isn’t here. I was hoping to see her back, so let’s see if we can find her in town. They say I might find them close to the basketball court….
Well sometimes you win, sometimes you lose!
Let’s comfort ourselves with a game of local pool, and get ready to explore more of the surroundings!
Nacpan Beach makes up for a great daytrip from Tapik Beach or El Nido. My luck hasn’t come back to me yet, so we’re unable to see the twin beaches today. But hey, everything else is here!
