In late 2019, me and my Filipina stayed in that blue cottage, behind your left shoulder (at :40 seconds into video) at the MaryGold Beach Resort for 2 weeks right on the beach, so wonderful. We did all the tours, and on one tour I surprised Jinky with our own private speedboat tour, just the two of us, and a crew of 3. It was so nice to get out to the islands with nobody there except us. On the other tours, we took the Bonka boats loaded with people. Lio Beach, and the zip line between 2 islands are a must. The food was awesome, and so was the nightlife. Rented a scooter to get around on our own. We would love to do it again.

...One thing I forgot to mention is that in California, I had bought brand new, quality snorkeling masks, and water shoes, that are a must there, for Jinky and I. I didn't want to rent something others had used, not knowing the quality. I also recommend renting the kayaks as you two did... well worth it. Cheers.

If you get a chance, it is a once in a lifetime adventure, stay for at least 5 days. We were there for 2 weeks. Some foreigners were there for only 3 days, and unfortunately, there was a Typhoon Tisoy rolling far north of El Nido, but enough to bring heavy waves and wind. The boats could not go out, and so these people could not do any island hopping. We were so lucky to book for 2 weeks, we just went shopping and ate at fantastic restaurants during this down time. Couple from France were disappointed, because the island hopping tours is why they came to E Nido. Plan ahead.

We’re from Cebu also , work all our working life in the USA and now retired in the sunshine state of Florida but still owned lot of properties in Balamban Cebu, planted with mangoes and for sale.
