Amazing work on this pair of custom El-Producto AF1s! I've only seen two episodes of Fresh Pair but I already know to expect, amazing work from Katty and knowledge and insight from Just Blaze.! I've been holding on to a CD of Fantastic Voyage for a hot minute (10+ years)! I found it at a pawnshop and I just knew it was that good shit. I found it with 2 Non-Phyxion cds, "Bazooka Tooth" by Aesop Rock and Atmosphere's Lucy Ford EP (which El-P produced tracks on). I didn't quite know what I found but one of my childhood homies spent some time in New York City, dodging the law, doing graf and hanging with his homies Ill-Bill and Necro - he did put me up on the undergroundNYC rap scene in the mid 2000s. Some great artists out there and El-P is one of the sharpest lyricists, I've ever heard (with all due respect to those that have come before...not saying anyone else is shit, El-P is just The Shit) out of the bunch.

El-P and DOOM are my favourite rapper/producers. A nice touch that wasn't touched on (I think) was the colour of the shoe. It is the same colour as The Cold Vein album cover. Very cool. The Blade Runner thing had me going; "OH SHIT!" Love the EPMD reference too. Wonderful.

I'm making two comments ok. EL-P grew up in NY. I think in places such as those, there is greater access to a variety of culture and counter culture, which is why, being about the same age, I came upon the culture a bit later with the advent of the internet which somewhat leveled the playing field where I grew up, providing access to these things where it was harder to obtain before.
