El-p said he could never make a happy beat. Well this melancholy sound is totally uplifting and happy to me depending on how your perspective is or what kind of day you're having. Well done El-p.

Everytime i watch this i cry like a baby because this video is so beautiful. It says so much about us and we all are brothers and sisters in this life. We all share this desire for love, and when i watch this i want to give the whole world a hug. Never give up because there is somebody out there who cares for you. No matter what you've done, because none of us is innocent and we all hurt people at some point. As long as we breathe we have the ability to do good, and everytime i watch this i'm remembered of this power that is stronger than anything else in this world.

@Eziokilla95958 жыл бұрын
ainsoph1 Both amazing lyricists, (well, at least Aesop is) but El-P is significantly ahead of both. El-P is a lot more than just a lyricist.
@Braxtonhawkins8 жыл бұрын
+Eziokilla9595 id say the same about aesop. fucking love aes and EL. its stupid to compare two of the greatest hipity hopity artists to ever bless the mic.
@Eziokilla95958 жыл бұрын
Braxton Hawkins I mean, judging by your profile, I can see which side of the argument that you aire on. El-P can go line-for-line with Aesop. But, El-P also has production and album quality in his corner, which gives him the edge of Aesop, as much as I love Aesop.
@Braxtonhawkins8 жыл бұрын
Eziokilla9595 i agree completely, aes's music just tickles my artistic boner. lyrically, but EL-Producto is just as innovative with words. so its really just my personal bias. ive listened to aes and El religiously for the past years and and at the end of the day choose aes. for the same reasons you prefer EL.

I've always felt that el-p's video clips said more than the actual songs did. The part that really stood out for me was when the kid jumps onto the mattresses like it was a huge deal. It reminded me of when I was a kid and the smallest step seemed like the biggest and now that I'm older a I can see it for what it was. Don't know if that was el's intention, just what I took from it. Love the song and the clip. def jukie.

To me, it's about doing what you feel is right, no matter what people think. Be determined and resolute and you'll find that other people will appreciate what you're doing. Life's too big to worry about everyone else, set your mind on what you want and go out and achieve it (aka happiness).
@samuelreece76689 жыл бұрын
When you feel lost, like a needle in a haystack. You got to erase that, way of thinking and face facts, and get off the train tracks. get back on the right track. Life is too short to look back. Just keep moving on your path, and never turn back. I've had a tough life looking back, good and bad memories that will allways last. I've been through hell and back, but I don't carry the heavy boulder on my back. We all need to slow down because we're on the right track. Life is hard counting the days past. we need to adapt to change and make grasps with this reality and create our own paths

@gallo1234321 - As shotdeezy said before me, it could also be that they are trying to show us how the humans behave socially or our group dynamic. Some of us remain uninspired, unmotivated, afraid, and generally disinterested. People are in need of leaders. Without an example to draw from people are basically aimless and lost. We need positive, creative, determined, and charismatic leaders to step forward and show the rest of us a path to a happier existence.

(Starts at 1:06) Listen up kid, its time to move on, its time to be strong and its time get goin. Its time to do this shit, and claim our throne, its time to show the world that this is our home. Dont tell me that I cant, one mind can change three, an idea that you can plant, a vision I can see, a promise I can grant, a prophet I can be.
