"El racó de l'or" is a symphonic poem commissioned by the Musical Union ‘El Xúquer’ of Sumacàrcer to be performed as a free work at the 129th Valencia International Contest. The composer was inspired by the inhabitants of this town in the Ribera Alta and in various places in the town that determine its identity: the festivals, the Júcar river, the castle of Penya-Roja, its streets and golden fields of orange trees that give name to the work. We can find different languages throughout the piece to narrate it, all of them related to each other for a small musical reason.
The Algemesí Symphony Band performs "El Racó de l'Or" by Saül Gómez Soler, in the Summer Concert held on June 27, 2021 in the Plaza Mayor of Algemesí.
