Here’s my head canon story about El Rubio. Supposedly that his father was a drug dealer fronting as a gold mine owner and that he was thinking of making more money outside the gold mine and decided to go into the coke business. Supposedly. At one point there was a gentleman he met in Bolivia or something and here is where he met Alejandro Sosa. Sosa was dealing with Tony Montana who was working under him after killing Frank Lopez and before the events where Tony ends up arrested and has to do the bombing of a journalist who would speak at the CC building about the drug dealers and who are the corrupt government officials dealing with Sosa. His father would have the offer to be Sosas new drug mule but Gasper Gomez beat him to it and he was angry. And he would do everything to gain the supply of cocaine. And other drugs. And so with his gold mine connections, he would have some islander nicknamed the sandman and while Tony Montana survived the mansion shootout, El Rubio’s father would invest the Sandman with his own island and plantation just to make the Sandman a competitor against Sosa. And considering that Tony Montana survived the shootout in Miami, that he would call the Sandman to call Tony Montana to meet him in the islands. The father told the Sandman that the Colombian cartel are the most equipped criminal organization in the world. And that used to be true. And that the father convinces the Sandman that after handling some rival cartel soldato and pirates. To transfer the ownership of the island plantation to Tony Montana and that he would takeover Sosa’s drug supply. And that would happen eventually. After Sosa dies in this canon, Rubio’s father takeover Sosa’s mansion and drug supply. Expands the drug supply and he would eventually meet Tony Montana revealing that the Sandman answers to him and that he was used as a cover for his operations. That his revenge story helped him gain leverage. And becomes the new drug supplier. As he wanted Sosa gone and that he would supply all sorts of drug cartels in the world and that Tony Montana would have to not f with him like he did with Sosa. And a young El Rubio is introduced into the picture. And so after Tony Montana dies for real, and that Tommy Vercetti and the other cartel that is friendly to the Vercetti mob, that he becomes Vercetti’s new drug supplier. Years later. He supplied Mike Torenos CIA Agent associates to move drugs to Panama and took the route north to San Andreas. And supplies the Loco Syndicate. And Big Smoke. Also in 2001, he had supplied Miguel and Catalina with drugs to create the spank drug. And eventually his son Juan El Rubio takes over the drug supplying business with a gold mine front. After his pa died. And lives in an island instead of the Sosa hacienda and supplies drugs in a network manner instead of staying in the mainland. Otherwise the authorities would have purged El Rubio. Networks help the drug supplier and it makes sense why El Rubio would leverage on the clients he deal with. He wants to use blackmail as a means of tool and control of his clients and so Martin Madrazo, his latest client for drug supplying would want to prove that he isn’t to be tamed over after the Trevor incident in 2013. And so attempts to find El Rubio’s weakness and such but El Rubio was already a step ahead when he has incriminating files towards Madrazo. And so the Cayo Perico heist comes into the picture.

In Rdr 2 story, after finishing building Marston's ranch, i went through Tall Trees to solve the mistery of the Athlete Olimpic team massacred and i've found out from a newspaper that a royal family, from Germany or Austria got massacred as well by the Skinners. The family either has connections with the germans or it can be even that kidnapped princess that we find out about in Van Horn. Very good discovery u found Pro, congrats. Nice Video. Keep it going. hmm, it is an interesting question what could've become of the German kids from RDR2 if they were decent or evil, and why El Rubio is very different in personality to his possible ancestors? but maybe it wasn't either El Rubio's great grandparents or grandparents that made a bad example, but perhaps his parents in general, maybe El Rubio's mother or father were abusive in some way or taught him to be an entitled scumbag, or maybe it has nothing to do with parenting at all, maybe El Rubio's family were all good people but he turned bad for some reason, like a mental illness, childhood or adolescent traumatic experience? or perhaps neither of this things and just greed took over, because come to think of it, greed can corrupt people. however, it could be none of this and he was just born evil, maybe his childhood and family were perfect, but he was disturbed from the start? there's multiple things that could've caused the difference in personality's between Juan Strickler and his German grandparents.

Actually the German man in RDR2 is most likely El Rubio's great-great-grandfather. The 3 German kids are spread out in age, and so therefore their children would be as well. The oldest looks around 17, and likely had children starting around 1905-1910 (grandchildren), her oldest then having kids around 1928-1935 (great-grandchildren). Then that kid has kids around 1951-1958 (great-great-grandchildren) who have kids around 1974-1981 (great-great-great-grandchildren). Then there's the yngst boy, who appears around 7yo (so born 1892ish), wouldn't have had kids until 1915-1922 (grandchildren). They would have had kids around 1938-1945 (great-grandchildren) who would have kids around 1961-1968 (great-great-grandchildren).

It's definitely a connection between both games. It's implied that the German family went on and made a fortune and passed it down to the one who owns the mansion. The one who owns the mansion is a descendant of that family in which that family wouldn't have acquired the wealth they obviously attained to pass down if it weren't for Arthur Morgan and Charles Smith. Once again, a part of the future is saved because of the gang.

I think El Rubio is heavily based on Carlos Lehder, a Colombian smuggler for the Medellin carter, who had german ascent and ran the operation from his private island in the Bahamas called Norman's Cay. This guy liked to party hard in the island as well

Pro don’t forget that red dead 2 takes place before the first game. In the first red dead armadillo recovered from the cholla outbreak and ended up being a a pretty developed little town. So they could have gotten married there after. Also another fun red dead fact is that tumbleweed has the opposite happen. In red dead 2 it’s a well developed town but by the events of read dead one everyone there either died or moved out due to the cholla outbreak.

If you guys also noticed and if you look on the map, Annesburg is a German town as well and they also have mines out there. with the different times and settings we can see that because El Rubios old photos of his family that his family owned That town Annesburgs mines and also mabey owned the mines in Tumbleweed, at least that’s what I believe.

The strange thing is that you can hear npc's and other characters talk about Los Angeles and California in both RDR 1 and 2, and since LA doesn't exist in GTA this kinda debunks the theory that the two are connected.
