A different perspective on criminality. A lot of SA countries treat juveniles (below 18) extremely differently in terms of consequences. Bukele treats them all the same, if you murder someone it is life in prison, and maybe the death penalty, no matter what age you are. The teenage murder gangs (M13) are in countries where they only get a slap on the wrist for murder.

It’s not bizarre, the president of El Salvador is extremely motivated to fight violent crime, drugs, and gangs.
