Have know Idea why, but every time I hear this song I feel like I want to cry. To me, it's one of the saddest songs I've ever heard.
@rjjcms18 жыл бұрын
It has those things in the lyrics doesn't it,for things past and things to come,and they go with the music so well. We went to see Cats in the West End once,almost the first time I'd read or heard those words of TS Elliott's since school. More to him than his name being (nearly) "toilets" spelt backwards,as was once graffiti'd.

This is sadder for me than usual, lately. My boyfriend's mother just died, we were going through her stuff and I found a score to Memory in one of her old boxes. She was a musician for a long time so not surprising. The lyrics remind me of how she was when I knew her, because she had a lot of personal demons, mostly medical. She had such a big personality and spirit though.

when i was a teenager, I got a small role in our local drama club's production of Cats. I earned the title of "understudy cat" because I was the only person in the cast who came into it not only knowing every word of every song, but actively helped coach the man playing Skimbleshanks on remembering his song (that song is beyond brutal, and there shouldn't be such a thing as 13/8ths time). And without fail, every night we performed, I'd hide in the wings and watch our Grizabella belt this out and cry. it is one of the wackiest damn musicals on planet earth, and I wouldn't change a thing.

My cat died 2 months ago, she was my first cat. We rescued her and her kitten from people didn´t love her. She already had hepatitis though. She knew true love the last 2 months of her life, while being with me and my partner, we enjoyed her company for just 2 months. I'll always remember her face while being in the hospital, she always looked at me and my partner like "Thank you, I love you so much". We fought so hard, but maybe she was needed up there. Tears just drop while listening to this song. You will always be beautiful my little Tay. At least in the end, you could feel the warmth and love of a true family. I'll always love you.

Nevermind the few misspelled words. The recording is good quality and the volume is good on a phone. And it is nice to see the lyrics because no matter what the criticism we all understand them. So thank you for posting this. Great job!
