There is a reason Halo isn't in MLG anymore. Halo was at its peak in Halo 2 and Halo 3 and started dying off in Reach. Really sad they decided to ruin this franchise by following 3 with a game like reach then 4. Every1 I knew quit halo about 2 weeks after reach came out. We gave it a chance just like all these pros did. It just wasn't up to the standards the Halo franchise introduced over the first 3 games.

Reach wasn't even that bad compared to H3 imo - H3 was just way too slow and there was no opportunity for a skilled player to slay without a power weapon. H2 wasn't even that great objectively, although it was my favourite. Really, the only game in the franchise that was good was H1.

You guys are all crazy. I played competitively in 2 and 3. I played most of the best in the world in 3. I scrim'd against Triggers Down fairly often when they were the #1 ranked team. My entire team stopped playing competitively within a month of Reach coming out. That was after multiple years of playing together, competitively in halo 2 and 3. No1 I personally know has every said they liked Reach and especially not more than 3. Surprised I just read that comment, honestly. I could go on for quite awhile as to why I didn't like Reach and didn't think it even came close to comparing to 2 or 3 but I'll cut it off here. I do think people that are younger or started playing Halo later liked Reach more. Similar to younger kids liking new Cod's while I think that franchise has gone way downhill also.

TheOvermaster you obviously didnt play much H3, or H2 for that matter. You think sprint speeds up a game and makes it competitive? If you didn’t have teamwork in any early halo game, and you played semi pro/pro’s, they would expose that. Halo reach had mechanics that would slow down skill

Kevin yeah man I agree. Reach was fun at the time because it was new. As for time put towards the game, it was no where near the amount of Halo 3. It just wasn’t the same with the power ups and sprint and the reticule bloom. Halo 3 was the best and when people say it was slow it was probably because they were bad. Halo 3 was the Halo that required the most skill, most thinking, and the most teamwork. Halo 4 and Halo Reach were by far the worst of the franchise. And then 343 couldn’t even deliver the MCC correctly. It still needs a bunch of work today but I’m glad Halo 3 is back.

@MrMyMegabuster "bloom ruining what halo was built on?" TBH, you can't win with the DMR in general online. No Bloom= Noobs can 5 shot easy. Bloom = Can get lucky on spammage. LAN w/ Bloom is actually fun because it's nowhere near as random (Unless of course you keep pressing the trigger and don't pace.)

I agree, i was a huge halo fan! Loved halo Ce,2,3.. i got 4 and was disappointed, i got the Xbox one for MCC and was left hugely disappointed how they ruined match making and everything.. I was offered halo 5 for free and i turned it down...
