Always and forever, thank you to Great Britain and the British people whose creativity, since the 1960s, has given the rest of the World hundreds of unique bands such as the Elastica and music of unparalleled beauty, quirkiness and atmosphere. What would our lives have been without British bands? Thank you from Sicily. And love, admiration and adoration.

Definitely fans of punk rock. And remember the accusations of plagiarism from bands like Wire or The Stranglers against Elastica. And "Stutter" also sounds like as if the band has used some riffs from Criminal Class, an early 80s punk/oi! band from Coventry.

When I was a young lad in my mid 20s, I was in a bar band that had this song on our playlist, and at gigs where we’d play this song, as soon as the final guitar chord rang out, I’d start back up with the intro riff and we’d play the song all over again, because I’d always notice people in the crowd rockin’ out to it - and I didn’t want that to end… so I’d intentionally get the band to play it twice in one shot! I hadn’t thought about this song for almost 30 years, and it was killing me because it was such a good song and I didn’t know the lyrics… so after a good amount of googling… here I am!

Is there something that I can do for you? It's always something you hate Or it's something you ate Tell me, is it the way that I touch you? Have you found a new mate And is she really great? Is it just that I'm much too much for you? Oh, oh, oh ho Don't feed me a lie boy I can hear that voice you use upon the phone And there's no need to be coy That is something you can do upon your own Well, it isn't a problem Nothing we can't solve, so just relax Am I on the wrong train, love And will I have to tie you to the tracks? Is there something you lack When I'm flat on my back? Is there something that I can do for you? It's always something you hate Or it's something you ate Tell me, is it the way that I touch you? From the first time I heard Elastica I loved them. I was huge into the Modern Rock during the late 80's and early 90's! They had such an amazing sound. It also didn't hurt that little 12-13 year old me was practically in love with every woman in the band! Hell I didn't find out until yesterday that the lead singer had been part of the band Suede! I never got into them but I knew of them lol. There were so many amazing bands during this time but that was the problem. There were way to many bands and not enough fame to go around.

The live footage in this video is from a June 1994 show at First Avenue in Minneapolis. I was lucky enough to be one of the people in the audience that night.

I always think of her being enraged when, after knocking Albarn and co, Liam added, mumbling, "I wouldn't kick that Justine out of bed, though." Lol

I remember a story about her walking around in her apartment naked with the curtains open and the neighborhood men standing outside her place for the ‘show’.

You know those songs that when you hear them years later, take you back in time to when you first heard them? This is one of those songs.

I saw them at the Eagles ballroom in Milwaukee in the 90s when I was in highschool. I was in love with the singer. It was her accent! ❤

This was mostly filmed at the corner of Colombus and Broadway in San Francisco in 1995, I'd just moved there in June, I think I remember when they were making this video, or at least heard of it on the bike messenger radio. Ahh, the good old days 😆
