@aniketgupta4407 New price is 166.67 E= New quantity -old × old price New Price - old × old quantity 3= 120-90 ×150 P - 150 ×90 3 (P-150) = 30×150 90 3(P-150) = 50 P-150 = 16.67 P(new price) = 166.67 Now cross check E = 120-90 ×150 166.67 -150×90 = 30×150 16.67 ×90 = 5000/1667 = 2.999(3) Hence proved Conclusion: - I think their is problem in any value of the question because concept become wrong or we have another concept of luxury/giffen goods ( but acc to question they said fall in price so problem in Question not in calculation)

​@@GuruVandana0.3 bro how you can increase the price to 166.67 when there is a rise in quantity demanded .. it is obvious that the price will fall down as the question reflects that there is an increase in qty demanded. Interpretation:- %change in qty demanded =(120-90)/90 *100=33.33% We know that Ep=3 , that means the qty demanded reacted 3 times due to change in price Hence, the % change in price is (33.33/3)=11.11% Old price =150 New price = 150- (11.11%of 150) I am deductingRs 16.66 because the qty increases, Hence the new price will be (150-16.66)=133.33
