Great strategy man, thanks for this video. Useful tip - you can start the fight with more HP, mana and stamina, if you equip with Preservation Orb curio before the fight. It will give you 60 MaxHP, 40MaxMana and 40 Max Stamina for a long duration after resurrection. Just that Preservation Orb is working the same with Incense Trail talisman too. Use Incense Trail talisman near the closest shrine check point from the boss fight. So you will get + 60 MaxHP, 40MaxMana and 40 Max Stamina from Preservation Orb, just before starting any boss fight. And after you get the buff, you can re-equip with other curios of choice, the buff will preserve and maintain during the entire fight. Preservation Orb can be used in the same way for any other builds or strategies and that's why is one of the best curio in game. Keep posting.

I absolutely loved this game up until this point. This is the dumbest shit I’ve ever seen in a game. So I go through 40+ hours of gameplay, beating most bosses in 1-3 attempts, even Yellow Loong. Now everything I learned basically goes out the window with this insanely hard boss fight. It was the same thing in Remnant II

Without this strategy, I would'nt have been able to beat Erlang at lvl 95. Also, I had 3 mirage pills, a life-saving pill, and resurrection pill, but I don't know if the resurrection pill would've worked against him. Many thanks.

I beat him kinda easy it was under 10 attempts and it was because I used this gourd all game when I got it getting your QI back for bosses was so OP and getting the fan back faster to drain his shield made it easy once I learned his pattern.

Bro his pattern is ridiculous he not stopping when are you attempting to attack he has like 5 move that the range to get out is not possible even dodging puts me in a place to get hit and that's with good dodge work no spamming. I am very much confused and need help

@@jameswtherspoon130 are you using the fan and the gourd of the nine skies? Use the fan for phase 1 drink your gourd a few times and you'll get it back by phase 3, his phase 3 is the worst so make sure you got the fan back for that one. Use thrust stance see through the enemy attack tap light attack then heavy attack he will step back and stay away from erlang and stab him with the staff and it also heals you a little. Have you grinded enough and found mind core to upgrade your stats etc?

This is possibly the single worst boss in the game. I’m sorry, I love Erlang as a character, but as a gameplay boss? No, just nope. I got his health down to zero and he didn’t die??? He just continued his combo and killed me in the process. I hate this stupid boss. Who thought it was a good idea to give him four layers of shield.

these devs need to understand how to balance high combo fights. The window of attacks for this fight are just ridiculous. Its just attack after attack after attack after attack after attack. so many different movesets and flying around,teleporting,grab attacks,just way too much going on. its such a epic fight but it just wasnt enjoyable because of how overwhelming it can be. shouldve been so much more fun,but i quickly just wanted the fight to end

Your guide is great but there’s a problem. Not sure if my damage is too high or too low, but the phases are not in sync with your video. Many times i use the plaintain fan or azure dust, he then jumps into another one of his phases with his shield up and one of these two gets wasted. I tried to make notes following your guide but i keep failing and running out of health when he starts his stupid slow combo dances. Sigh

This boss can be inconsistant with the damage you do. He kinda cheats by tanking more damage randomly. His health pool is too big and he gets hyperarmour that recharges like stamina while spamming endless combos. I do know you can use the fan on him now but how the hell were we meant to figure that out? I beat him in about 3 hours but what a fatiguing boss
