So much has been lost since I first saw this performance (on tv) but so much more has been gained. Give me a day like this, once a year and I'll be alright.

Such a fun show! The gals in the orchestra are hot, especially the violinist and cellist in red tops. 😍

The cellist in the red top isn't a cellist. She's Guy's wife! That said, many people will agree with you. Her Mam (Diana Rigg) was scorching hot 50 years ago (Mrs Peel)

It was "take your wife to work" day instead of child! See that crowd hun, this is what I do! To be quite honest, she probably knew that anyway!

Does anyone have a link to the original Elbow Live at Abbey Road full episode? It's disappeared.

This performance goes nowhere without the black man and his $5.99 Walgreen's keyboard they whipped together 5 minutes before filming so the whole production team doesn't get fired. 'Where's one of the stage hands, here's $10...go grab an usher from the parking lot and find them an instrument. Tell them when we point at them they just have to sing 'looking like a beautiful day', any tone will do'.

Jesus... cynical much? That black man is Pete Turner, and his main instrument is the bass guitar. He's an integral part of the band. He's playing the bass part on the keyboard, sorry the tone didn't meet your standards. As for the keyboard, it's an analog synthesizer. Just because it's small doesn't mean it's cheap or substandard (in fact, it probably cost $500-$1000). And no, they don't sell them at Walgreens.

@@quillishwhammy3686 hahahaha, thanks for clearing all that up. Honestly. I was never going to research any of this. However, Can you blame me for being cynical? My assumption wasn't far off from modern day reality. He is off to the side a bit like they got the chair count wrong on the stage. I don't know much about Elbow other than this song, which I only know cause it was on Hollisters playlist one season. When I did work for the Hollister stores amongst 7 states. Holister would have a CD of about 10 songs that would continually loop all day, and they would only change the CD 4 times a year. So I heard this song about 10 times a day for 3 months straight.

@@mikeshoe74 OK, now I understand why you are so vitriolic in your disdain of the song. What I don't understand is why you'd go onto KZbin and seek out a live version of it.

@@quillishwhammy3686 I like the song. It's a great tune.
