Dr. Tarek would you please tell me the answer The following fundus findings should be present to differentiate ischemic from non ischemic central retinal vein occlusion except: 1) cotton wool spots 2) hard exudates 3) NVDs and NVEs d) Extensive optic disc edema and thanks in advance
@TarekElbromboly4 жыл бұрын
Hard exudate is a yellow flecks made up of lipid residues of serous leakage from damaged capillaries and takes time to develop. Although it could be seen in CRVO, it is not a sign of ischemic type. Cotton wool spots , NVDs and NVEs and extensive optic disc edema are signs of ischemia.

What is capillary non prefusion? I couldn't understand it ! Please can you explain it to me . And thank you
@TarekElbromboly2 жыл бұрын
Tissue perfusion is the process of delivery of blood into the retina and capillary nonperfusion occurs when retina does not have the efficient tissue perfusion. It is characterized by the loss of capillary components that results ultimately in the degeneration or obliteration of capillaries.
