I couldn’t remember what Senlin Village looked like, but seeing the layout and design of the buildings, I thought “Oh, the village from the panda episode”. Just goes to show how well you’ve replicated the village in the game. I look forward to seeing how the game continues to progress and wish you the best in your endeavours.

The large building is a community center. Its open design is meant to be a modular space to fit whatever the village is doing at the moment. The ranch I grew up on had a building like that where we would host dances or weekend community dinners, etc. You would also have the whole village gather there during an emergency like, for instance, a giant spirit monster attack.

Amazing work as always! I bet you it’s a building that serves as their social hub. A place for large gatherings and celebrations. My experience in catering has taught me how to identify these places. They also serve as excellent places to hide from a spirit attack😂

So are you working on this game alone? I'm asking cause you still need to create the story quest, side quests, bosses, minions, and a whole lot more. And it just sounds like a whole lot of stress for one guy. Even Aang needed help with saving the world.

He has a team of collaborators working with him on this project. Elca primarily does the level and asset sculpts, as wel as being the project leader

Instead of making a day to night version of a town, can't you make a day/night cycle or is that how it's done normally in games?

Alot of Games that don't have a Day/Night Cyle usually do it for a very good reason which is that you can curate a very specific lighting scenario with a specific look (also for traditional Game Engines it makes alot of sense to "bake" in the shadows which isn't possible in Dreams). Spider-Man PS4 did this more recently for that very reason. I wanna have specific scenario which I know the Lighting works in.
