I often play dmz solo myself so the thrill of soloing a platoon is great and you feel like the best player in the world.But its more often that you just get stomped by them if they know to stay together.I think the whole feature should be removed so we just have max 3 player squads.

It's a part of the game. However, I think Activision should make a separate DMZ where you can only enter as a solo player, play to complete missions and PvP. When I play solo currently I may complete 2 out of 5 missions before getting ransacked by teams.

It feels like Chinese platoons and hackers have both increased in amount recently, which have contribued to the deterioration of the DMZ experience. Vondel, Ashika and Koschei are thankfully not very concerned by this, but Al Mazrah is really a pain in the ass to play on currently - it happens almost once every 3 matches. As for B21, I don't know since I don't play it.

Platoons should be marked on the map. Right now there are no negatives for increasing your team size. I think assimilation makes DMZ unique and creates more opportunities for the dev's with what they can do down the road.

I agree. However, the 6man squad I have been in are super friendly and we don’t kill other players. Obviously each is different. I think, the more thirsty you are per round, you should be marked (much like a hunt squad marker).

I think the over-abundance of UAV's is allowing a lot of aggressive pushes and platoons. If you either get rid of platoons and stick to a maximum of three, or make UAV a rarer killstreak so the compulsion to *need* a stealth vest is tamped down.

I want Activision to get rid of 6 man platoons all together. The only way to join another team is to come in solo and you can add 2 players or a duo and you can add 1 player. But platoons need to go.

Most of the 6 man teams are players who are garbage at multiplayer and BR. They come to DMZ because most of the DMZ players are focused on missions and not trying to rack up kills, so it's less sweaty than the other modes. DMZ is becoming more and more toxic. They really need to limit teams to 3 players max.

I still say they must give players the choice in DMZ same as in multiplayer on squad sizes. Have a mode for solos only, mode for 3 man squads, and mode for 6man squads. And for those who like the thrill of hunting platoons you just put squad fill off and spawn in solo in 3man or 6man squad modes. Think this only way to sort off balance it out for the majority of player's.

Agreed man, I love solo to get some missions done and not have to just PVP. I end up trying to sneak around where possible. A bit of PVP is fun but 6 mans need to go for sure. Still get the odd pre-made hacker team coming in too.

Devs love the 6 man platoons, they’re not going anywhere anytime soon. One thing they could do is limit the ability to be revived after being full-killed. With a 6 man, I end up killing the same guys 6 or 7 times, just for them to constantly get revived because I can’t watch every single body. It should be like the plea, one and then done. That way solos could whittle down platoons until they’re all dead or the remaining candy @$$ just leaves to save themselves. Let that platoon get killed once and they might not be so hot to trot to go back into that killing field where some solo is putting in work.

I personally don't think platoons should be a thing. The game allows you to queue in as a solo, duo or trio. 3 should be the max per team. If your a solo you should be able to pick up two teammates to make a three man. It's incredibly demoralising loading into the game with a 1 plate and contraband gun for a regain and having a 5-6 man stack fully geared on your ass in the first 20-30 seconds of game start. I get there are people including yourself Clap that make it look so smooth and easy wiping plats lol but I'm not as young as I used to be, I don't have the reflexes or skills I had when Black Ops was current xD Always watching the content my guy, keep it up!

On platoons - two changes could improve the landscape. First, in groups over 3, anyone should be able to leave the group at any time. Backstabbing and betrayal for the win. Second, reduce max plates by one each for the entire squad when you add the 5th and 6th members. Bring a six person squad down to 1 plate combat and give people the ability to bail out of 4,5 or 6 person groups at any time. That would make the dynamics of platoons way more interesting.

as a solo only player i personally think platoons suck, but lets be honest players who platoon up for the most part are below average players seeking safety in numbers. so there usually pretty easy to take out if your patient enough. its really only the premade 6 mans that don't use in game coms that are a problem. you need to be able to cancel pleas, bring truce system back but make it last way longer, and not allow players get into the same lobby as people on their friends list and that will get rid of most premade platoons. IMO nothing worse than grown ass men begging to get picked up, same song and dance every time. Overconfident platoon pushes smaller team or solo, gets wrecked, sends out invite when down to last player, begs for a pick up, cusses you out when you don't. sound familiar? no offense but if i solo your squad why would i want you on mine? your more of a liability than an asset imo and i don't want you on my team. so im forced to camp plea until they quit out so they dont form another platoon of billygoats.

It would be one thing if i ONLY had to deal with 1 platoon. But like last night, me and two buddies spawned quarry. The two teams around us formed a platoon and sieged us when we were in a building. We had four bodies in our building and two holding us from outside while the ones that were down cried in chat saying we were camping a solos body. So the next platoon rolled up. We ended up wiping everyone but died because dinal left without us. We never left spawn because so many were on us the entire time. This isnt the fiest time it played like that for us and wont be the last im sure

There was one point where they did have a ceasefire/ truce option. They took it out because people would just get bullied, the whole team would spam takedowns on them until it was over 💀. It was honestly the funniest shit of all time though lmao.

A few things need to change imo. No squads bigger than 3, accepting plea should be assimilate or revive with truce or just remove plea all together. And there should be a limit how many kill streaks you can buy. Maybe 1 per buy station per team. I miss the time when you had to do missions or loot to get money. Now you kill a team and have 150 000. And if you die you can regain in minutes and just try again.

Only because you asked… and let me say I have no issue with PvP… The current problem with DMZ is that too much PvP takes away the fun from casual and mission-oriented onted players. Some Operators are spawning in and randomly ambushing other Operators who are interested in the mission story aspect of the game. This is an unfair advantage since distracted Operators are often the targets. Moreover, too much PvP creates a toxic environment that could chase new and casual players away from the game. Ideally, DMZ should be a different experience from Battle Royal and Warzone, which are PvP-oriented. DMZ should be a mission/story-oriented experience that also includes PvP. Here are some suggestions for ways to better balance PvP and PvE in DMZ: 1. Friendly Fire is enabled at all times. This will cause Operators to behave more cautiously before randomly gunning down or JOKR’ing other Operators. 2. Team size should be increased from 3 to 4 operators. This would allow for mutual support when splitting up to accomplish missions. 3. Teams of more than 4 operators will trigger a radio alert stating that ISR has detected signs of a platoon of operators in the area to other operators in the same POI. An exception would be if the platoon are all equipped with Stealth Vest or the Ghost Perk. The compass threat level indicator mechanic could be used for this. 4. Operators get no warning of Air Strikes, Mortar Strikes, and Bomb Drones. Also, JOKR and SAM warnings are only given to vehicles equipped with a warning system. 5. Sniper glint in its current form is too unrealistic. It should be reduced to be more realistic. Things like positioning relative to light would affect the amount of glint. This will make sniping more viable, especially for solo Operators! 6. UAVs can be shot down by SAM sites. Advanced UAVs have stealth capabilities are cannot be targeted by SAM sites. 7. You cannot assimilate Operators that you kill. It goes without saying that if a team kills Operators, they are not allied with those Operators. This is also a way to stop players from building six-man death squads and terrorizing the lobby. 8. Operators that enter a match with no faction missions selected are considered rogue-similar mechanics to the Scavenger. 9. Initiating hostilities against other operators will have a bounty placed on them unless an assimilation request is sent first and rejected/ignored or the operators are the target of a hunt squad contract. It makes sense that if you go out and harass players working for factions to complete missions, the faction would want payback for being interfered with. 10. Operators are aligned by selected faction missions during the match. If two teams have missions chosen from the same faction, they are allied. If a team shoots at an allied operator, a bounty is placed on the offending team for the duration of the match. Carelessness and treachery have a price! It is a similar mechanic to the friendly Shadow Company from Season 5. 11. Allied Operators can see the placement of claymores and proximity mines on the Tac-Map but are not immune to the effects. 12. Hunt Squad Contracts will only target rival factions(i.e., Teams with no Faction missions in common with the hunting team). For example, if Team A is working on a faction mission and Team B takes a Hunt Squad Contract, it doesn’t make sense for the target to be another team working on missions for the same faction. 13. Hunt Squad Contracts will also alert allied operators that a hunt is in progress against an allied team, and the hunt circle will be visible on the Tac-Map so that other teams can assist if they choose to do so. If the hunters are defeated, a Perk or payment will be made to the hunted and any teams that choose to assist and are in the same POI. This could be a similar mechanic to the current Plea System, where you let downed Operator know you are coming to help. 14. Operators who are killed must be MEDEVAC’d by a friendly operator to a hospital or ambulance to be revived. A MEDEVAC Helo can also be called in via purchase at a buy station similar to the Personal Exfil. The MEDEVAC helo is different from the normal EXFIL helo. This could be made to look like the current Final Exfil helo. XP and financial rewards will be given for this-a similar mechanic to Rescue Hostage. 15. Enemy operators can still interrogate downed Operators, and this will reveal the approximate locations of allied operators in the same POI. 16. Personal EXFILs use a smaller BlackHawk style helo and arrive quicker. Operators could enter from the sides or ascend a rope. 17. Exfil helos can be shot down by AI, Operators and SAM sites. This would make the Exfil experience more dramatic and makes sense because there is already a voice line that says to clear the LZ.

Everyone claims every squad over 3 is a "pre-made"....when there is ZERO way for anyone to know that. Before the last update I mostly played with random matchmaking and a lot of squads were down to just go for pvp right off the bat to loot players rather than spending tons of time looking for barter components only to get rolled up by other players anyway....it never takes long to find other players on any map if you are trying to find them, 2 minutes max. If we beat them, we rescued them, and vice versa....there was a LOT of players doing the exact same thing. It was like a sportmanship type of thing, "ok good fight, join up, and lets go rollover everyone else or help each other get the weapon case, beat all the bosses, whatever". So no, I am not buying this COPIUM that the game is overrun by "pre-mades". I encountered it ONCE out of however many hours it takes to reach player rank 1050. I joined one squad that was not using game voice and they went directly to a vehicle and drove directly to the bridge next to Sattiq Caves where they joined another squad that was in a vehicle waiting around, also not using game voice. That was clearly coordinated outside the game, but there is ZERO way to know that unless you are in that squad. The rest of the time is most likely squads just doing exactly what I described.....looking for pvp asap in order to join up with others. But hey, don't let me ruin a whine-and-bitchfest.

I think they should just add a duo or even possibly a solo mode. I understand why they wont add the solo but duo should be accepted. They can even keep the platoon feature but limit it to 4 people in duo's. Fighting 6 people as a duo or even more because sometimes you get sandwiched not to mention the Mraps is just unfair. My duo and I do often win and it does feel good. However the fact that we win doesn't change how unfair it is. Would also love if they brought back the truce feature. I wasnt playing when it was a thing but the idea of being able to res a good sport after a good fight is gr8 but i dont want to team up with people and roll as a platoon or have my extract hindered etc by teammates I don't want really.

Just like pvp, platoons are part of the game. The reality is there are more casual than hardcore players, and strength in numbers is a way to get more difficult missions done. I Don't like the platoons that just go to hunt and pre-made 6 mans shouldn't be a thing, but how to stop that is beyond my knowledge.

@@beardo-baggins I think 24 hours is a little extreme but I like the direction of your idea. Maybe something similar to insured weapons. Start at a 3 or 4 hour cool down, then be able to reduce it up to and hr.

I don’t think that platoons are unfair (it’s just part of the game) but I’ll be honest and say there frustrating for a player like me who doesn’t have anywhere near the skill level of you or even a decent player. So when I get rolled by 6 man 3 or 4 raids in a row it can get annoying. On the other hand I don’t blame half the people for forming 6 mans because they figure hey at least if we face a 6 man we’re more likely to survive.

I have all but stopped playing DMZ. Not because of platoons, but the boring rinse and repeat play, trash reward for missions, etc. I don’t see what the excitement is to get contraband and XP that does nothing more that show people you play a lot. Platoons aren’t the problem, but their attitudes. I have been with more “let’s finish missions ” squads than “kill everyone “ squads Sadly I see a lot of videos by players who have a kill them all attitude vs I want to finish missions attitude.
