I met the boys in Trivium at a show in 2009. I got a backstage pass to their show at The Gothic in Denver. They were on the Into the Mouth of Hell We Tour run with Chimaira and Whitechapel. These were some of their first shows with Nick on drums because Travis had left the band literally a month or two prior. These guys are absolutely down to earth and very cool. Everyone was hanging out on the floor after the show, and those guys were beyond gracious. They took the time to make sure they met every single person, they took pictures, signed autographs and even had a couple beers with us. Being the huge gear nerd that I am, Corey and I ended up chatting for a good 20 minutes; just talking guitars, amps, the Roadrunner United sessions, his purple King V, and some really deep Trivium cuts. It was an amazing conversation. Other fans would come over here and there, and as soon as they would walk away, he and I would just pick up the conversation right where we left off. As the boys in Korn once said: Trivium are arguably the most professional, hardworking, and underrated bands in the world. Awesome guys.
