The buff is pretty strong though. It gives a good chunk of damage and frost buildup. Just wish it lasted a bit longer. And I also don't understand why it takes so much fp. The dragonscale blade also gets less damage than all the other katanas which is pretty unfortunate.

Although not a katana, you should add Wakizashi if someone wants to powerstance it with a katana. It uses katana moveset and you get style points for using a the longest katana and the shortest.

Uchi is incredibly underrated here IMO. Unsheathe is a significantly stronger ash of war than either Ice lightning sword or gravitas. Nagakiba is also very good just by virtue of its great range

imo blood Uchigatana (while one of the more basic weapons ) is one of the best and most moldable weapons in the game. And you still have your left hand for parrys, a 2nd blade, incantations,etc to mix people up

True. The same can be said for the nagakiba. I think people mostly use somber weapons instead of normal ones. Which kinda sucks because normal weapons can easily yield greater damage than somber weapons when paired with the right builds. Uchigatana and nagakiba are great examples of this.

Moon veil heavy attack interrupts enemy animations. If the enemy has enough health it’ll eventually stagger them. With 50 int it hits at around 1k dmg for every heavy strike. Dual wield this with a uchigatana with bloody slash and it’ll bring the blood build up to 88 while moon will has 50. Rivers of blood is ass compared to moonveil.

Bro I do 4k damage per Ash of war with 30 arc and 50 dex I also fo up to 900 per heavy attack and I don't even have the proper build I literally only got the roted winged sword talisman, marika and radagons sorceal and the starscourge hairlom and don't get me started on the bleed damage witch can go up to 5k per bloodloss build up. Moon ail is nice and can stager enemies easily but it's not better than the rivers of blood at least until they patch bloodloss

I think that RoB is definitely better than moonviel because of bleed but when you use LoR you easily get rid of 50% of RoB damage and you still get moonviel

Nagakiba is the most underrated here, the extra range and the changed poke instead of slash gives MASSIVE range, on top of that using bloodflame blade with unsheathe means you get a poise breaking bleed monster

why uchigatana 7? Uchigatana have the bleeding effect + with sharpness and 25+ Its the only one katana with A scale from Dexterity. I have both utigatanas, on 10+ and 7+ and even though they deal a good damage

I personally believe the Katana is only rated based off the build you play. I run a nagakiba dual wield with the hand of Melania because range is amazing with bloodhounds quick step to get you that extra distance and it can really throw off your opponent if used offensively. I only really use hand of Melania for its dps and not for its ash of war. Now if you tried to pair any other katana with this build it would immediately become F tier in my book.

Rapaz eu já usei a rios de sangue e garanto que a nagakiba ou a uchigatana com corte giratório com um nível considerável, buffada com algum cebo ou encantamento é melhor, quebra a postura de quase qualquer inimigo em menos de 4 usos, custa menos pf, quebra hyperarmor, é rápida, pega vários inimigos e pode ser adequada pra sua build pq da pra colocar aguçada, pesada etc, e se você usar ela de sangue você consegue aplicar sangramento consideralmente rapido, e você ainda pode usar no começo do game, os defeitos é que não vai tão longe quanto a rios e ela sangra mais devagar.

occult uchigatana with high arcane tops other katanas except rivers of blood. on the other hand with high int the moonveil becomes the best (as damage) so you just have to keep in mind how you level up. uchigatana is still one of the most versatile and strong when you put an affinity on it

Nagakiba is capable of being better than RoB and Moonveil and Uchigatana is a great off hand weapon. I don't think you should look down on them just because they are infusable weapons. Both is A or higher for me.

@@LADMK uchigitana is the best katana by far, im on new game 13 and i switch katanas alot but the uchis are just the best for every single boss in the game beside radagon due to his resistances. Rivers of blood fire damage or moonveil stagger is great for him tho.

@@giannisk1846 Uchi has more damage and is easier to obtain (At lower dex, full dex commitment might have different damage numbers) Nagakiba is a great poke tool and I personally used it as my primary out of 2 katanas, my offhand katana switching depending on the situation. sometimes the serpentbone, sometimes uchi, you get the idea. fit what works for your build and playstyle in, and it'll work just like that. protip ; use Unsheath on the Nagakiba.

If you still with the problem just leave it to later, get level up or search for thing like armor/accesorios/consumables for fire damage resistant buff, upgrade your weapon and summon if you use it or summon 2 players for help. This work anyway with any boss only the resistance variant
