I use reduvia against Melania for a ranged support weapon in multiplayer. The high end bleed buildup, low use requirements, and the fact that it's blood blade skill doesn't rely on player health like the basic ash of war make it at least high B tier in my eyes. Plus the light weight allows for heavier shields to be used without cranking the weight up to fat rolls.

Reduvia is good, but Mohgwyn's Sacred Spear makes the game basically easy mode. Killed Malenia first try using mimic tear. She just melted. Pure arcane build (which helps to farm items either).

Eleanora's Poleblade is the most fun weapon I've ever used in a game. It singlehandedly made me go from a sluggish guard counter build to a super fast arc/fai build.

@@devoncampbell531 For seals, your only real option is Dragon communion seal, and for incants all the dragon incants are a great option, and stone of gurranq carried me through the late games. Bloodflame claws is also ok, I personally didn’t use it much but it’s good if you really wanna lean into bleed.

I did the same my first playthrough. At the end game I switched to bloodhound claws with seppuku. My 2nd playthrough I'm starting as just a battle mage kinda dude INT and DEX but mainly went this direction so I could try out more weapons.

Claws are really really good with bloodflame blade, an excellent pocket bleed build if you're running dex fth or even pure dex, since the buff applies to both hands when 2-handing, they have nice scaling on keen and weigh even less than daggers. Raptor's has marginally less dmg than the other 2 but their added jump dmg and their unique charged heavy makes engaging enemies way easier considering the short range of claw weapons. Really underrated weapon class.

I agree except the part with Raptor Talons. They don't really deal increased jump attack damage. However unique heavy attack still makes it worth using over other two since it hits twice for increased bleed build up. Saying that the best claws are probably venomous fangs with the blood affinity. They have the highest AR of all claws, high bleed build up given by the bleed affinity and deadly poison build up that allows you to trigger effect of Kindred of Rot's Exultation talisman on top of that.

it definitely falls off later, but don’t sleep on the morning star. you’ll be hard pressed to find a better bleed strike weapon that early on, and you can put sacred blade on it for catacombs. I am keeping it around on my bleed build because it comes in handy surprisingly often and like you said, low stat requirements.

Elanora's poleblade was one of my favorite weapons to get when I first got it and I ended up using through the rest of the game till I got to my second journey. And the rivers of blood didn't even use it at all

In 1.08, Spiked Caestus are now insane. Not specifically as a bleed weapon, but as a weapon in general. The R2 comes out insanely fast, can true combo with the running R2 and does absurd damage. Also, their poise damage is stellar, a double charged R2 (which is still very quick) will stance break most things, and a lot of human enemies go down with a single charged R2.

I absolutely love the Spiked Caestus. I went into NG+ 5 with them and the basic Claws, swapping between them depending on enemy type. I easily went through the entire game using them, probably the most fun I've had with Elden Ring. Its fast, the Heavy attacks stagger decently, the jump heavy stagger Nicely too. And that extra bleed is just icing on cake

I've got fond memories of the spiked caestus. In my first playthrough, I realized I skipped some areas and was now overleveled for them. So I switched my double heavies for these fists and light equipment, and tip toed through these caelid caverns like a sneaky little goblin. It was fun approaching combat from these whole new direction (that is to say, from behind)

The Vulgar Militia Saw is better than all the scythes imo. On Occult and with arcane investment, it reaches almost the same AR (at minimum requirements for each weapon, occult infusion and 60+ arcane), but has 10-15% higher bleed buildup (bleed buildup on the saw increases more with investment in arcane as compared to the two infusible scythes). On top of that, it has the same poise damage and attack speed as scythes, has lower requirements for wielding (more arcane investment at pvp or endgame meta levels), has a lower weight, can do pierce attacks, and can use more ashes of war, including seppuku for more bleed buildup, repeating thrusts for rapid attacks, piercing fang for a high damage pierce option, etc.

Cross-Naginata is really good also if you are holding a shield (like you had in the clip). Its animation changes if you block with the shield while attacking with it: it turns into a thrust instead of the slash and that means that you can keep blocking while you attack. That creates a very defensive setup for many fights (where you can block).

Thanks for putting this together. I watched the entire thing. The only difference in my assessment is that daggers are excellent weapons (in my experience). I would put Reduvia in a SOLID A or a low S. Radahn didn't stand a chance against the crazy bleed from the AoW.

The dex bleed power stance build has been in conversations for a while. Thing is though, the Gargoyle’s twinblades have better damage scaling that the godskins, use strength/arcane rather than dex/arcane, and they get just as much bleed buildup

Late but I have to mention the Vulgar Militia Saw... I made an ARC/STR War Cry (well, Braggart's Roar) build using this weapon and it slaps. The modified strong and charged attacks are piercing type, so you can trade with hyper armor and get massive counter damage. Add in the solid move set of the halberd with good area control, put a few points in FTH for value-add incants, and it's just a strong setup.

If you're going str/arc and using a bleed infusion, you might actually get more out of something like the Nightrider's Glaive set to blood affinity, since blood affinity overwrites the weapon's innate bleed buildup.

​@@common_undead Yeah it works with any of the infusable halberds, and you might get slightly higher AR with the Nightrider's Glaive, but I mentioned the Vulgar Militia Saw because it's in keeping with the video with its innate bleed. Also, it's worth noting that the Glaive is 4 units heavier so that could be a consideration for any particular build.

reduvia's (Dual Wield) is surprisingly effective, REALLY effective unless the enemy has heavy armour. Also Bloodhounds claw, mine has poison with Lifestealers Fist (name?) ash, its stupid effective if your talismans & such lean into it.

Dual wielding Hoslow’s whips. Can get 2 in a single play through. Has natural bleed so you can have arcane primary scaling and bring bleed build up close to 100 with occult affinity. Also harmonizes super well with jump attack armor & talisman. Also reach is crazy and enemies get insta stun locked because they keep flinching. Crazy good. Also bloodhound’s step makes dancing around enemies so much fun with this weapon. You can melee like you’re casting magic since reach is crazy long. In addition, shields don’t defend well against whips at all. Dual wielding cross naginata or dual wielding nagakiba. They have natural bleed so same with Hoslow’s in terms of damage output and affinity relationship. They have crazy reach despite being fast weapons. Sword of dance ash is amazing with both.

Dual Hoslow whips carried me into NG+++. Beat everything except a couple of bosses. At NG+++ the whips don’t do much until about the third hit when the blood loss slaughters everything. Never get hit either pretty much. Prior to nerfs, I was using seppaku in the off hand and bloodhound’s step in the main hand.

Occult Great stars dual weild is op, the bleed procs in 2 L1/LB attacks. It deals insane stagger. Heals you, and has decent range. If you choose a aoe ash of war, its solid for any encounter. You can get 2 in 1 play through pretty early in. The only down side is the weight. If you dont want to use a katana and still want great range while not having to these high hit combos, try it out! 👍

S-Tier no doubt, you forgot the biggest advantage :it's blunt damage, almost no difficult enemies is resistent to it, like last boss you do shit with slash weapons against him. One I put the dodge ash and the other seppuku, made the game super easy, extremely beginner friendly.

Winged Scyths main benefit is its ash of war prevents healing (with the exception of Melina) so its main use is PVP or Enemy that use flasks. The debuff it causes lasts a very long time, a friend and me were testing it and it lasted roughly 6min. You can basically use it to apply the debuff then switch to a better weapon or power stance it with another scyth.

I'm using the Great Stars with the Prayerful Strike ash of War. It's damn good. Not only does it do a ton of damage, but it also heals a bit with every hit and it heals a ton with the prayerful strike. You can just spam the prayerful strike and brute force your way through most bosses a lot of the time. Get some heavy armor with a lot of poise and you'll pull off even more of the prayerful strikes. But even the regular attacks usually cause enough stagger to interrupt enemy attacks and allow you to just spam the attack button until the target dies.

The Halo Scythe has been my main since I first got to Caelid and got mulched by Cleanrot Knights. The blood loss might not trigger a lot but it’s Ring Halo ability basically a gun against lots of large enemies and bosses, lol. My 2nd fave is the Hook Claws which carried me through the first 20 or so hours of play.

Currently using an Arcane/Faith dual Reduvia build. 1 L1 and your opponent is hemorrhaging. Combine it with White Mask, Dragon Communion Seal (S scaling on Arcane) Shard of Alexander, Rotten Winged Sword Insignia, Lord of Blood's Exultation, and Flock's Canvas Talisman. Start an encounter with Flame Grant me Strength and Golden Vow. Guaranteed every dual weapon swing will cause blood loss and melt everything before they get a chance to react.

My guy you did reduvia and raptor claws dirty. Raptor claws has a unique duel weild that strikes with both simultaneously which triggers winged insignea and prosthesis. Plus with bloodflame blade it stacks bleed like crazy with that one hit. Hoslows whip is good with another hollow whip, which you can get both of in first playthrough. The duel weild jump hit also hits simultaneously like the raptor claws and each whip can get 101 bleed with affinity. Throw Quickstep or bloodhound step on it and it becomes really good at punishing as you can side-dodge and then poke with a basic attack SUPER fast to keep the bleed building on the enemy. It's like the claws except more range and able to punish. I think the whip isn't really good without a second one though because it's power definitely comes from being able to switch from quick basic pokes to long-winded double attacks. Reduvia is stupid good in any situation. Weilding two daggers with it gives you stupid good attack speed that forces your opponent on the defensive, and in pve it just melts bosses with how quickly you trigger bleed. Reduvias ash of war allows you to continue the pressure from a distance and God DAMN it hits hard. I tested it out on great jar knights (which I'm pretty sure are scaled to my level) and it quartered their health in one strike. And if you ng+ and grab a second reduvia? Bro that's game for real.

What you want to do with Ghizas wheel is use talismans and physick that boosts charged attacks and successive attacks and used charged R2s, not the weapon art. The weapon art doesn’t benefit from rotten winged sword insignia but the charged R2 does

Reduvia blood loss increases with your arcane skill. So it's not strictly 51. And the sword of milos doesn't increase your damage. It decreases enemy resistances. And idk if you said it or not, but it absorbs 5pts of fp from each enemy. It's the fp version of blasphemous blade.

Sword of Milos is god tier when used in powerstance with another greatsword allowing you to kill multiple ennemies at one time like the blasphematory or the sacred relic sword, you can basically chain your weapon skill & never running out of mp :) NB : useless against bosses obviously, but otherwise it’s OP

Reduvia deserve a solid A or low S , considering how early in the game you can get it , the unique skills is combined with the actual attack when close enough , that bleed stack is phenomenal. My actual build is double Reduvia and it shred pretty much anything even in NG+6 . Nice video keep them coming for the DLC

Double occult great star was the best s-Tier. Because it's blunt damage and no difficult enemies are resistent to it, it staggers, you put on each different ash, I had the dodge one and seppuku, but I have heard that both got nerfed so maybe that's why it's not the best anymore. Don't know. But it was insane.

Bandit's Curved Sword has a higher AR and the same exact moveset and blood loss buildup (with a bleed/occult affinity) as the Scavenger's Curved Sword. You can also farm them right outside the Hermit Merchant's Shack in the Altus Plateau. It's S-tier and dual wielding them is the best bleed build IMO.

Night rider does not do fire damage by default. You probably put a fire ash on it which really isn’t a good combo since by default it scales better with dex than str and fire weapons scale with strength. Chain link flail should be better to make into a fire weapon.

My first play through I only used the Bloodhound's Fang -- I didn't use any walk throughs, just played the game and found it pretty early on. Maxed it out and used it for 99% of the game.

I like using the angel wing Scythe. It not only causes bleed but also disables healing in PvP

Eleonora's Poleblade is my go to for most pve. But for bleed resistant enemies I actually found Regalia of Eochaid to be absolutely mental. I powerstance them now and the damage output is pretty obscene with that AoW. Somehow I've had a ton of luck with them in PvP as well despite everyone saying it's not much good for it.

Against a lot of bosses I'd say the reduvia is at least a high B tier because you have bit of range with the ash of war and you can build bleed to kill bosses extremely quick. I was stuck on Godskin Apostle in the devine tower for around 2-3 hours until I switched to the Reduvia. From there I melted him in a couple of attempts. Get the right build and you can melt everything as quick as Elenora's poleblade and Rivers of Blood.

i personally like the grave scythe, especially cause it always drops first time for me. but after seeing this, i really like the moonviel and rivers of blood. looks like it would work in my build a lot better.

Really? Cross nagi in C tier? You do realize you can make the bleed on those *insane* with turning them both into blood enhancements and double seppuku-ing. then spam l1 or left bumper and just win any fight, right?

The reduvia with relatively high arcane + dexterity is unreal. I beat Melania on my first try (with the mimic), it was actually very anticlimactic. It’s ash is a bleed projectile, you can just spam and eviscerate bosses.

Dual Bandits Curved Swords with seppuku on it is my absolute favorite. 117 blooloss buildup for each and with the right talismans these Swords just melt anything

I cant believe you put Varle's bouguet at the bottom lol, this weapon is amazing if you are building a status effect build/ almost pure arcane build in the fact that you can literally stack effects on this, its on of like 7 weapons in the game with in built status effect that you can still apply greases and ashes of war too stack. You can put sleep, piison, bloodflame, anytging on this and atill deal that damage plus the 125 bleed buildup. I still agree though, i would rather use bloody helice or reduvia over it if i was goinf for a bleed build

Yeah I just PvP against a player using the bloody helice thing was a beast in PvP really hard to dodge haven’t used a thrusting weapon in PvP but gonna have to try it out see if they’re all pretty good for PvP or just that one either way good video mate

Nagakiba is definitely a S-Tier weapon. Put some points in arcane and dex, and use Sword Dance or Double Slash on it and it will melt the health bars away. It‘s better that Eleonora‘s Poleblade for sure.

Personally I'd put great stars, Ghiza's wheel, and Bloodhounds fang in A tier but great list overall...p.s im currently running dual Great Stars with prayerful strike on my right hand and blood tax on my left and im melting bosses at level 140

I quite like the morning star for those rock enemies that are weak to blunt/strike attacks. Its quick enough to build up bleed and destroy rock miners

I like equipping the Blasphemous Sword off Hand and 2Handed with either Mohg Spear, Elden Sword or Rivers of Blood sword. So every Kill will Heal you. Great for Rune Farming. Cheers.

Pretty sure I put lifesteal on my bloodhound claws (?) - I liked using bloodhound step, but ultimately decided I wanted something aggressive on the claws and getting back health is always nice (didn't have takers cameo at that time).

Wow. I've played this game for 1200 hours, and I totally forgot the Bloodstained Dagger existed. I only ever got it on my first character. I also made a cosplay build of the Assassin from Diablo 2: Lord of Destruction, using Hookclaws and the Katar. Lots of fun.

I’ve been rocking the Bloodhounds Fang for most of my play through now but I just recently got Moonveil and Nagakiba and kinda want to switch. The Bloodhounds Fang sword does so much dmg that it’s hard to switch from. Thinking about switching to Moonveil

You didn't mention that Varre's Bouquet can be buffed, and if blood grease is used it gets bonus bleed from the arcane scaling. It's still bad, but it's the fastest bleed buildup weapon in the game.

If we are talking a PVP only side of view on these weapons bloody helice should be A tier or even A tier imo. The ash of war can really throw people off and with the recent update giving it better dmg and allowing you to aim the dodge from the ash of war I've found that it's super fun and also pretty damn good against other players. PVE side yeah the other faster hitting slashing weapons tend to be easier to use so I see why it would land in C tier
