7:20 -- I don't see parry swaps like this anymore, they used to be all the rage back in DS3 (that and swapping to ultra before critting). I'm happy to see we're going back to the classics. The highlight is still that Colossal War though.

yeah they really did nerf menu swaps, if you get hit by anything at all it will blackout the menu blocking your swap, so when landing a parry now its not as worth it to go for the hard swap sadly. i really wish they would revert it to allowing you to access your weapon menu when hit and during jumps.

I initially thought he was spamming the skill because his endurance was too low for him to mid-roll without the +5 but apparently they buffed the stat buff duration to like 1 minute a while back.

Potential video idea / something I've been having fun with is a great shield and a curved sword with parry. Its hard to land, but when you have a great shield most people will rush you, and if you block they're likely to r1 spam your shield... Wish means you can kinda time your parry more easily lil

I like the xbox pro one - I remap to use two rear paddles as lock on and off on the right and Y on the left for access to the pouch. I think I will try swapping the left one to menu for hard swaps. @@kiltysalter2966

My dearest wish for the DLC is that along with there being a lot of story content (new actually unique ending like Stars or Frenzy pls I beg) they tune up the connection requirements a bit. I think the generally more difficult-to-get backstabs and parries (arguably) compared to DS3 aren't necessarily a bad thing, but if you have a bad connection it goes from being a bit more forgiving to the person on the receiving end to being outright punishing for the backstabber or parryer. Getting locked into a backstab that won't connect on a bad connection is brutal, and bad connections have always made parrying far more difficult or damn near impossible. I don't mind my high-risk play getting me punished, but it should at least be reliably because I'm bad at the maneuver and not because my opponent has become Goku due to connection issues.
