Another thing to point out for aesthetic is that the partisan is the same spear used in the Spectral Lance AOW. Personally I hated seeing the pike shrink down every time I use it so I ended up switching lol.

That barbaric Roar is literal bonkers I want to give an Input to fix the issue on spectral lance not doing much damage: Spectral Lance is an Arcane Ash of War. ;it doesnt count your AR nor any other stat, just Arcane and the Weapon needs to have a Arcane scaling to work. For a Alternative you could do a Strengh/Arcane build Hero 127 Vigor 58 Mind 10 Endurance 20 Strengh 34 Dexterity 9 (+5) Inteligence 7 Faith 9 Arcane 60 with Millicent's Prosthesis/Great-Jar's Arsenal You lose 50 points in AR but you gain way more damage in the Spectral Lance Ash of War and 23 levels earlier. If you go 150 you can get a fucking Zeus blessed Spartan Hero 150 Vigor 58 Mind 10 Endurance 28 Strengh 34 Dexterity 9 (+5) Inteligence 7 Faith 23 (+5) Arcane 60 with Millicent's Prosthesis/Great-Jar's Arsenal/Two-fingers Heirloon And use the Dragon Communion Seal with a Monstrous 328 incantation Scaling for any Incantation not just dragon's incantations.

only problem i have with this build is if you get bored you will need to respec. 90 percent of arcane weapons have a dex requirement. and 9 dex doesn't meet even 10 percent of Elden ring weapon requirements. so if i wanna freely play with other weapons for fun your stats closes out almost all weapons in game. also ashes barely scale from stats at all. this video he has 9 arcane and did 800 non buffed to that night and 1000 to godfrey. which is crazy cause i looked up a build speced for spectral lacne he had 25 arcane used a tear flask had ritual item boosts damage at full hp instead of roar medalion. had 50 strength 40 dex man was level 175 and never even did 800 damage on any of the enemies he hit fully buffed. with first hit and you get a damage boost on that also video was only 4 months ago thats crazy. but yeah arcane is not the move here.

@@timothyfloyd3269 Yeah. I actually went to test this build right after I posted this comment and could get out of Limgrave. Spectral Lance is usefull but does not do any fucking damage. Arcane is not that useful like you said and Spears need a rework

@@ThiagoCRocha-fh6lg nah spears are fine you can poke infinitely from behind shield its safest and easiest playstyle outside of one-shot builds. - i love the spear its a flexible playstyle. you wont do massive damage but you have range. also use salves. and crafting items. - also yeah its sad about the damage but like very few arts actually do any damage outside of 1 or 2 its all about the stagger and the throw does great stagger damage. its why the redmanes flame was number 1 art. till they nerfed it they didn't reduce its damage they nerfed its stagger capabilities and it went from S tier to F tier just cause of stagger not damage.

If you do the 25 Faith for Golden Vow having Blessing’s Boon at 24 Faith isn’t a bad option as well. A regen heal of 5 or 7 points for about 2-3 minutes is useful when dodging attacks or waiting for openers.

I farm the bird for runes, it's free and only requires 3 invasions after killing godrich and speaking to varre in liurnia. Invasions can be npc or online pvp. Just make sure to do them after varre gives you fingers. Or it may not work. This gives you access to mohgs palace where the "bird" is located.

Like/Subscribe/Comment for the KZbin algorithm because I love theme builds. Great theme build. Love it! One suggestion: This is a lightly armored build. Ditch the roar ash and talisman and use Square Off and another talisman - possibly a second equip load talisman which can drop you to light rolls depending on your stamina. Spartans were highly skilled fighters. Roar R2s are slow and can easily miss. Square Off is more effective because it gives you two very strong options that lets you adapt to the moment better, simulating their skill, while firing off nearly instantly, and doing better posture and absolute damage in the same amount of time.

use latena spirit summon for even more feel or shield guys. -personally i changed a couple things to fit into the infinite stamina feel when you hear spartan. im using icon shield bestial vitality. i replace the roar talisman with ritual dagger its easy to get backstabs and guard counters break posture easily so you can literally keep fighting forever and never use tear flask. and the icon shield isn't too bad looking i think of it like im a fallen warrior revived defending the tree of life with my epic spartan skills. -i also pair build with opaline tear and crimson tear. be warned tear does NOT stack with bestial roar. but SHIELD REGEN DOES. so flask is for major fights. -also unless your just really trying to min max i would take some strength and bring dex. up to 20 because if you get bored of these weapons. 20 dex. is enough to cover 80 percent of weapons in game. also difference between 60 strength and 80 strength is literally only 60 damage its really not worth it. so get the 20 dex or use rest for what you want and stay at 55 strength its soft cap if you don't go to 80. unless you really wanna 1 hand giant crusher you need 60.

Here's a neat tip with spectral Lance if there's any kind of incline here to guaranteed a headshot when they're moving. And instead of the broadsword I would pick up the Warren straight sword simply because it looks like a Spartan sword

Another option for a sword that I think looks better and is only a little less powerfull is the noble slender sword since your armor and shield is gold/bronze looking this sword fits more then the blue and steel look of the broadsword. Or if the Steel look doesn't bother you there is also the option of using the falcion which looks like a spartan sword much more style wise. An alternative for the spear might be the shortspear for its unique R2 altough you will lose alot of reach.

Absolutely. The AR difference isn't nearly as significant as people make it seem. You'll kill normal mobs in the same number of hits, and bosses with only 2 - 3 more light hits. People just like seeing big numbers, but if you use the Spectral Lance or R2s to stance break, so much of your damage is coming from crits that it really doesn't matter.

Literally dropping 7 points in str for not that muchdamage loss since youre rarely 2 handing locked you out of the strongest regen and defense buffs in the game. Or if you were really smart shift some over to intelligence for the schokars shield spell(blessed be Ares.) Getting to 80 str lost a lot of versatiitt the build could offer. Heck impaling thrust does more poise damage than spectral lance, is a great overall ash of war, and pierces enemy shields. Jjst so many wasted options here. Such as buff choices. Use uplift for a free defense snd easy phys damage boost in the aura slot. Or an aow swap for golden vow and scream to Ares for strength. Going even further one could utilize the spear talisman over roar medallion on a shield spear setup for more counter damage on trafes. Pve included.

I'll tell you. Think about it, you have everything, ranged atacks, you can keep enemies away poking from distance, you can atack with your shield UP, absorb damage while doing damage. I'm playing now with shields, and I assure you: spear + shield + guard counters are a very powerfull combination. Drop the looks, put some armor, but keep that in mind: light roll is underrated. Spectral lance and guard counters are very good stance breakers. Just pay atention to your green bar, this is "your life" now, don't waste it, be patient, drop the shield guard between boss atacks to get some green back, walk away, don't be greedy, your defense is your atack. Try adding other shields to your arsenal, use barricade, you'll tank almost everything besides grab atacks. You'll tank fully Malenia's waterfall dance. It is very fun and rewarding, knights and crucibles are just angry kids now. Have in mind that this is not a bleed build, it is a survival and defense build. Don't take risks, just colect wins. Good game for you, my friend.

Yeah, it works very well. I used Partasan and tree sentinel guardian’s shield. Partasan with bleed afinity, this weapon is usefull at short, mid and long distances. Farewell, she brokes even dragon’s posture with facility. So, this build is simple, fun and very efective

Just use whichever affinity gives you the best AR for your stats. It's almost meaningless for Spectral Lance, and insignificant in terms of actual time-to-kill in play for the sword.
