Brother, I think you need to strongly consider looking something like that up before such a huge investment like farming for a shitload of time lol. Not even just because pidia is impossible to find organically but I’m pretty sure Albinaurics can’t drop this weapon at all. As much as I hear everyone else rip on the farming in Elden Ring, which I kinda like the farming, it is outrageous that some enemies will never drop a weapon even if they’re clearly wielding it.

It never needed a buff. The things that make it good have been in the game since the beginning, but few people understand how to use it outside of cheese with a handful of unique weapons. Blood infused weapons still mostly scale with physical stats, and Occult is the most difficult infusion to use correctly. There are very few Occult ashes of war, most builds can't use them, and the whetblade for Occult can't be rushed because it's stuck behind Radahn. It also looks like it nerfs the innate status buildup of weapons unless you've already leveled to about 30 arcane. Combined with the fact that arcane caster builds are also more complicated to pull off, most players never get around to it.

There is a weapon that is apparently the ONLY weapon that can be scaled to S Rank. I don’t use it, but my buddy uses obscure builds, and found that Arcane increases the build up dmg, resulting lesser hits needed to freeze, poison, bloodlost. It’s a harpoon dropped by albenurics near the academy. It’s got a similar look to the golden crest marker you see in the DLC world.

Arcane works to empower status effects that are scaled with it, by all accounts if you got a weapon with a tier arc scaling with 99 arc that also somehow accepts greases or weapon enhancing spells your in for a 2 hit sleep or bleed build

I leveled an Arcane build prior to and for my first run through the DLC and I gotta say that Arcane is amazing. Yes there are only so many weapons with innate Arcane scaling but basically everything is decent with an Occult infusion. Most will be +/- a few AR compared to a Heavy or Keen version of the same weapon. A very minimal investment in STR/DEX on an ARC build lets you use most weapons in the game and lets you use both STR and DEX weapons at the same time. Lastly anything with innate bleed + Occult infusion is pure cheese.

9:25 something I learned about the occult scaling recently is that the higher the arcane the more status it gives to weapons with natural status on them. The Star Fist's bleed buildup jumped from 45 to 70. Then holy shit at 15:00 The Poison Fang's poison buildup was 134 buildup a hit! I'm gonna feel stupid mentioning this if it was already known, but figured it might be helpful to some who don't, plus 134 poison buildup isn't something to ignore lol

Arcane increases discovery by 1 point, and a silver foot increases it by 50 for 2 minutes. 99 arcance is like having 2 permanent discovery buffs always active, and with the base 100 discovery chance, its double the item find. While it does seem negligible bc you need to dump massive amounts of levels into it, it personally saves so much grinding for me. Not to mention status buildup, but i dont use status stuff that much

Took me 2 years to finish this game. I explored every inch of the map, enjoyed every view and tried so many weapons. In one build i went from samurai build, bloodhound knight build, gravity knight build, to finishing as a Bloodflame Ronin build. I fought every boss but fortinaxx because i killed fia on accident. This game is hard, but is such an amazing game. Even if you use really good weapons you gotta be skilled to learn bosses movements and weaknesses. I am so proud i made it into new game plus that after i did anytime i got tired at work or something i was like "I beated Elden Ring, i can do this shit!" LOL 😂😂

Mogh being weak to bleed is actually lore accurate. The formless mother doesnt care who bleeds, as long as blood is flowing. But mogh gets some fancy damage buffs if he bleeds or inflicts bleed but that doesnt matter if everything oneshots, soooo, yea :)

For my 10th character, I decided to do an Arcane Dagger build with Reduvia and an Occult Great Knife. I also picked up the Dragon Communion Seal because of it’s S-rank Arcane scaling once fully upgraded. I’ll admit it’s been one of the tougher runs, largely because daggers have pretty much the 2nd/3rd shortest reach aside from fists and certain types of claw weapons. The amount of times I just outright whiff an attack, (particularly after a dodge roll) is embarrassing. I don’t feel that Arcane as a stat is worthless, but admittedly the base game weapon options are limited, and they don’t scale great (most top out at a C-rank) which is really lame for a pure Arcane build. It feels like Arcane was meant as a more complimentary stat to pair with either Strength, DEX, INT or Faith.

If you struggle to get past Radahn’s arrows, you can use torrent and run backwards until he despawns, then, you run back in and he will shoot a arrow into the abyss and switch to his swords. That will give you enough time to react and summon everybody in the battlefield.😁

Actually arcane is very important stat because it increases holy damage negation and vitality(resistance to deathblight). And even 5 points into arcane matters in case of enemy drops in early game.

Arcane is just straight-up the most overpowered stat in the game. And the extra benefit it has in discovery, people keep saying it's not significant, but it adds up quickly. Like, you'll almost certainly start seeing the occasional weapon you didn't realize was in the game, but even if you didn't, just selling all the extra items and materials you get adds a steady trickle of extra runes that makes leveling and purchasing items go significantly faster than just by playing normally. And that's before getting into bleed damage, which is the best deal for a small decrease in damage per hit, because overall you'll be getting a lot more damage without needing to adjust playstyle significantly. I truly will never understand why people think Arcane isn't the best stat by a wide margin. Leveling up in Elden Ring is so incremental that people tend not to realize that these things that don't SEEM to add up to that much statistically on paper actually have a greater impact than a stat breakdown might impart.

Arcane is a crazy good stat for status effects. Occult attunement is strong as hell on any normal weapon too. I miss pre-nerf dual-weapon bleed builds though, when each weapon would add to the bleed buildup individually and you'd proc on basically every hit. That carried me through max NG+ with no effort despite being a terrible player.

Arcane is badass, at least when it comes to bleed. Any bleed weapon that scales with arcane will also have the bleed per hit increase with higher arcane, so bleed procs even faster.

Personally I've been doing my own unique challenge playthroughs of magic focus. Essentially the rule is you must select a school of magic and with that choice play with spells & weapons that fit said theme. Weapoms with no skill can be used but may on equip skills related to the theme. For example i have a rot based character who is using rot & poison weapons (since there's so few of both). Another is based entirely around death magic like ghost flame. Fun until i realized my only source of spells and weapons come from deathrite birds bosses.
