Just wanna say this video helped me a ton!! After 50+ attempts, I was still having trouble with timing the dodge for his fire breath attacks at 4:12 Fought him again after watching your run and I beat him within the next 5 tries. You're insanely impressive for doing this guy no hit. Thank you!

While I personally did it without the blessings as well....I can‘t say I am too proud of the clear. Used the fingerprint shield with the great katana you were using and I summoned igon. In the run where I won, it felt like igon did the heavy lifting. Lv200 Ng+3

I haven't killed Placidusax yet but I killed Bayle. I wonder if a new cutscene will trigger on Placidusax encouter. Like in DS3 with Sif. Your video helped me time the frame of dodges, beat him after 3 tries after watching this.

You can, after defeating Bayle, remember to return to the site of grace at the foot of the mountain, the place where you fight the dragon.

I'm level 320 with 5 scadutree's and can't beat Bayle. Probably close to 50+ attempts now, I really just gotta get good. Great job!

5 scads is waaaaaay too low. This is one of the toughest bosses in the dlc. You should be close to maxed out blessing level before you do this. Being level 320 doesn't help you due to softcaps. Being level 500 would still do less for you than being level 200 with max blessings. I believe there are 13 blessing levels in the dlc. Meaning you are basically an early game character going against an end game boss. 5 blessing levels = 25% more damage and about 25% more negation. I highly recommend you go get your blessing level up.

I beat Bayle on blessing level 9 (NG+4, Lv.270), took me around 2 hours and I’d say the fight only feels fair with >Lv.9 blessing. Fun fight tho, best dragon fight since Midir.

Thank you for defeating him, it feels good to see Bayle disintegrate. I got 80 vigor and bullgoat set but Bayle just 1 shots me, (i am ng7 too) will the scadutree upgrade help me?

Yes please, especially if your new game plus. The shadow tree fragments makes a huge difference once you get more of them. They also stack for each new game you start like the Golden seeds and sacred tears (but without limit)

Also, the soft cap for figure is level 60, you won’t get much points into health after that. It’s probably best to invest those extra 20 points into something that can help with damage for your build. (but then again I never Played new game +7, so do what you think is right for you)

Honestly, with how much more manageable Igon makes this fight, it almost seems like it's a gimmick fight but instead of a weapon, the gimmick is an NPC designed to counter Bayle.
